Guest Report post Posted April 30, 2002 "How Could Something That Looks So Good, Hurt So Bad?" http://www.AprilHunter.com H-e-e-e-e-e-y-y!! I just got home from the WWF Tryout camp in Ohio. While I was gone a couple of things happened. I think I got a computer virus and had to delete all my mail. Sooooo, if you sent me anything from the 18th of this month until now, I probably didn't get it. Also, I UPDATED! Look in the Members area for a new sexy girlfriend gallery, Behind-The-Scenes diary with snapshots and hot May calendar desktop wallpaper! http://www.aprilhunter.com Also, Slyk Wagner Brown and I were falsely advertised for a wrestling show in Everett, Ma this past Saturday night. I was never even contacted about doing this show, let alone booked. (http://www.slykwagnerbrown.net) As, for the camp, it was an amazing experience. Up until then, I'd only had a few matches. I either had a singles or mixed tag every day while there and I learned so much. Rumours were rampant about how we thought they were going to try to kill us "Tough Enough" style, but they didn't. We did that very nicely on our own, trying to do our best. Many of us went in with injuries or got some while there, but no one quit. The camp invited 15 people and seemed more geared towards big guys (300 pounders), Canadians and women. Day 1: Arrived in Cincinnati. Airline broke my luggage. Aarrgghh. Rode to hotel with Daffney and Bobby Rude. Found out I have a roommate this week. Yuck. Went to dinner with Bobby and Mitch Paradise. No one said much, too hungry. Dr. Tom Pritchard, Les Thatcher and Kevin Kelly will run camp. Day 2: Roommate is very cool, thank God. Adara James from Chicago. Training, not too bad, they'll probably kill us tomorrow to make up for it. Was amazed at how much Dr. Tom and Les bumped. Adara and I had a match, was my favorite singles. She works like a guy (better than some!) but is beautiful and has a killer body. Great combo. Unfortunately, she also snores like a guy, but I have earplugs. Out early for Pay Per View at Hooters. Wooden Hooter stools killing my ass! Loud French Canadian guy sitting with me, a model-turned-wrestler named Sly. Must have Turrets Syndrome. Went to Kroger for groceries with Daffney, Adara, Ho'Haire,(pronounced in the French accent we all aquired by mid-week) Leviathan and Johnny Jeter. Our teeny fridge froze everything and the freezer kept the ice bags nice and warm. Day3: Am sore, hip is out again, but ice and tape cure all. Chi Chi's Mexican restaurant with 'Tough Enough' Josh, only meal of the day. Day 4: Roomie snuck out to go shopping, I have bathroom to myself! Hard drills. Went in early and worked with Race Steel and Rude. Arn Anderson stopped by. HWA show, we broke down and put together the ring. Fave matches were Bobby Rude vs. Josh and tag with Jamie Knoble. Day 5: Sly, Montreal guy is actually pretty cool. Grew on me like a fungus and is great to run drills with. Pat Patterson, Fit Finley, Malenko and Johnny Ace came by. Daffney finished me with a Texas Clover Leaf. Agents gave us a lot of very good advice on what to do, how to work, what they're looking for. They compared this new stiff style of shoot-working on the Indy circuits to backyard wrestling, saying how it's dangerous and everyone is killing each other, and that's not what they want. The art form is making wrestling LOOK real, not beating the shit out of each other. TGIFridays with Adara. People really STARE down here. Haven't they seen women before? Shin and ankle are hurting. Saw fellow Kowalski student Chris "Harvard" Nowinski at HWA, congrats to him. Day 6: Roomie went tanning. How does she get up so early? Mixed tag, Models vs. Freaks. Sly and I vs. Sean O'Haire and Daffney. Favorite tag match. Have been singing Rammstein's song to my own lyrics all week. "Du.Du Ass.Du Ass Hurt?" Learned difference between Screaming shits, Howling shits, Drizzling shits and just The Shits as ring work descriptions, but already had a good idea about what was what. Hooters for Smackdown to watch Adara's boyfriend Danny Dominion get the beat down by D-Von for stealing his collection plate. Day 7: Watched more tapes back, cringed. Is that me?? Wrestlers Court today. Ride jumping is a big no-no. We are all tired and sore, but no one is complaining. A big round of ice bags for everyone. We all decided to go out to eat and get drunk. Mark "I love the business!!" Jindrak and Mike Sanders took us to The Bar in Cincy. How can so many people make asses out of themselves in the ring every day, but are afraid to get on the dance floor?? Andy Anderson finally gave in and attempted to dance, despite being in a sling. Lots happened to all of us, including projectile puking and getting pulled over and sliding out of the ticket, but if I told you what happened, I'd have to kill you. Day 8: Woke up, don't feel so good. Think I may still be drunk. Have to be at camp an hour earlier than normal. We watched more tapes, including Benoit vs. Regal for the Pillman Memorial. Killer match. This is the stuff I like, but you rarely see women do. Said our goodbyes, sad. Met some very cool people there. My favorites were Sean O'Haire. Great to work with in the ring, actually a very cool guy and he bought all the beer. Always a plus. Adara, who was a great roomie. One day we had to get on camera for our surprise interviews and I wasn't wearing makeup and didn't have any with me. She gave me her bag and told me to use whatever I wanted. How many people would be so unselfish? Andy Anderson; I respect him a lot for working with a broken collarbone, but he was also a real gentleman and cool to hang with. Bobby Rude for helping me out with advice and, in my opinion, being an absolute standout at the camp. And Sly, the French Fry for being funny, working drills with me and! b! eing able to take as much ribbing as he gives. I'm sore, I'm bruised and I'm happy. This was such a cool week and I'm so glad I was invited. I learned so much!! When I went home, I was stripped and searched 4 more times like I was coming in. I'm beginning to feel singled out. I realized I'd left my sunglasses at some search agents desk and they were gone forever. But that's nothing compared to what Horseshue dealt with: his plane almost crashed coming in, as it just "dropped" 10,000 ft out of the sky. I'll take replacing sunglasses over that, thank you, but if you're searched, remember to look around for all your stuff. The agents aren't very good about putting it all back. Before I'd left, I had a match with "Tough Enough" cutie Taylor Matheny in UWF, PA. Very cool girl and fun to work with. I felt bad, since we were late due to a car breakdown and didn't have much time to work things out ahead of time, but everything turned out OK. At the end, she and I had a part in Sandman and Slyk's match as well, where Sandman grabbed me, she clocked SWB off the top with the belt giving the win to Sandman. There's another cool guy to work with. Yeah, he seemed a little tipsy, but was fine in the ring and very charismatic. This coming weekend, Slyk and I will be in Meriden, CT for Assault Wrestling Friday the 3rd. ECW's Guido, DeVito and Balls Mahoney will also be there, so come out, bring your signs and dress light-it's hot as all hell in this venue! http://www.assaultwrestling.com Enjoy my site update and hope to see you in CT!
