Guest converge241 Report post Posted April 30, 2002 The gist of this would be to book the elimination of the Hardcore and Euro titles. Flair announces that they are too many title changes in the Hardcore division and the WWF does not go to Europe as often as they would need to go to warrant a title speciffically for that territory. Since he has both titles under the Raw brand , he proposes any past (and current) holders to particpate in a one night only, both brands, TV title battle royal. Have it on Heat to boost the ratings instead of using Raw or Smackdown. Your Particiapnts: Hardcore Holly,Al snow, bossman, test, crash, tazz, funaki, saturn, matt hardy, blackman, raven, billy gunn, big show, mike awesome, jeff hardy,RVD,kurt angle,Taker, maven,Kane,Jericho,Rhyno,Goldust,Spike,Hurricane,BuhBuh dudley, regal, richards,HHH,DLo,XPac,Shane McMahon,Henry,Val,Eddie,Bradshaw, christian, and DDP. (whew) Flair explains the TV title will be prestigous and defended on raw and Smackdown and every house show and carries great monetary rewards. The big guys (hhh and all) are protected cause they would not have to take a pinfall yet they are still somewhat giving the rub to whomever wins. I would have Shane be a surprise entrant but get eliminated right away by all the vengeful wrestlers. I would have Christian win it and always have the belt go from face to heel. Yes you would still have to have more title changes due to it being defended more often , but not as much as the 24/7 nonsense. Ideally you would have an average of 1 out of 9 title defenses result in a title change, if not more. any thoughts?
Guest Your Olympic Hero Report post Posted April 30, 2002 I agree that the Hardcore and European titles are dead and meaningless, and a TV title replacing them would be a good idea. As long as it's not given to Mark Henry or Albert.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted April 30, 2002 I would stick the title on someone high in the card so it means something when he wins it. If Christian wins it the title drops right back to the level of the Europeon title or maybe even lower, the WCW tv title. I would like someone like Jericho, Kane, or Rhyno win it and keep the title and make it mean something.
Guest converge241 Report post Posted May 1, 2002 Thats a good point dreamer, i guess it is kind of hard to really get the title over and the guy at the same time. i like the Jericho/rhyno idea.. ill ape that and retro change my idea
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted May 1, 2002 I think I would also have the title defended much like the IC belt and let the guys who are below the main event have a run at it. That means that guys like HHH, Hogan, Austin, Rock, Angle would all be excluded but I would leave Jericho in that group because he could help get a new title over I think. Guest Report post Posted May 2, 2002 Whatever they do, they need to even the titles out on each show. Making all the titles for both shows is a possibility. But, as of right now, if you're not a main eventer or a cruiserweight and on Smackdown, there's no singles titles for you. And how many actual tag teams are left? Two? And they're on different shows. It seems like the WWF really slacked off with their title distribution.
Guest Risk Report post Posted May 8, 2002 I say they only use the following titles: Undisputed Championship That is all.
