Guest The Son of Sting Posted April 30, 2002 Report Posted April 30, 2002 Nothing big but the new SCSA dvd has the whole match he had with Steamboat from Bash 94 as an extra.
Guest dreamer420 Posted April 30, 2002 Report Posted April 30, 2002 Sweet ass. It's about fucking time we'll get to see some older wcw footage, even if it is just included as extras.
Guest pochorenella Posted April 30, 2002 Report Posted April 30, 2002 Nothing big but the new SCSA dvd has the whole match he had with Steamboat from Bash 94 as an extra I think you mean the one from Clash XXVIII from 08/24/94. Steamboat injured his back on this one and never came back.
Guest Mark4steamboat Posted May 1, 2002 Report Posted May 1, 2002 i always thought Steamboat injured himself against Paul Orndorff but i could be and probably am wrong.
Guest Some Guy Posted May 1, 2002 Report Posted May 1, 2002 i always thought Steamboat injured himself against Paul Orndorff but i could be and probably am wrong. It was against Austin at the Clash. Steamer went to "Skin the cat" and hit his tailbone on the apron. I haven't seen teh match, so that's just what I've read.
Guest RetroRob215 Posted May 2, 2002 Report Posted May 2, 2002 I thought he put on too much oil for that match and some of it dripped on to the turnbuckle. He went to jump off the top and slipped- injuring his back. I also never saw the match...
Guest evenflowDDT Posted May 2, 2002 Report Posted May 2, 2002 Looks like for the wrestling historians there's a real (and probably inadvertent) reason to check out the new Stone Cold DVD after all. Very cool, and it's good to see that the WWF is willing to use WCW footage in forthcoming releases, even if they probably won't issue any WCW-only DVD's.
Guest Jericholic82 Posted May 2, 2002 Report Posted May 2, 2002 I remember watching that clash live. But I haven't sen it since. I didn't notice at that time that Ricky was injured, cuz he finished the match (and won).
Guest Some Guy Posted May 2, 2002 Report Posted May 2, 2002 I made a typo, it is their match from Bash At The Beach 94 not the Clash. I bought and watched the DVD today, it's very cool. If they added another metch or 2, like Austin/Benoit from SD! uncut and the tag title match from Raw then I would say that it easily beats Hard Knocks as the best WWF DVD ever, but as such it just has the Steamboat match and the NWO HHH match. The show on the DVD is a very good and favorable look at Austin in 2001, they ignored all the crap and only put the good stuff with Rock, Angle, and Benoit. The DVD is not all "whats?" btw, so it'd not as annoying as some of you may think. It's definatley worth it though, I highly recomend the DVD.
