Guest ShootingStylesPress Posted September 18, 2004 Report Posted September 18, 2004 I got the DVD today, and it's better darn good. The ladder match is intact, and the fan has been edited out by showing Chris Benoit in the crowd and RVD with and odd look on his face. Eddie is obviously pissed afterwards though.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted September 23, 2004 Report Posted September 23, 2004 I picked this up as well. May have paid a bit over what I wanted, but I wanted it early.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted September 23, 2004 Report Posted September 23, 2004 Upon further observation, I'd say this dvd surpasses Benoits. Benoit had a lot of good matches, but also a lot of filler. On the first disk of this set alone, it has arguably my 4 favourite Eddie Guerrero matches along with his amazing 60 min. documentary or whatever its called. The second disk has a few soft spots with the Chavo and Los Guerreros match, but his match with Lesnar is a MOTYC and his work with Benoit is always great. I guess I'm in the minority when I say I loved the hell out of his ladder match with RVD. This is a tremendous purchase for everyone. Or maybe not the bitter smarkophiles who are bitter about no Japan footage and Hostile City match with Malenko. Don't be cynical, buy this.
Lord of The Curry Posted September 23, 2004 Report Posted September 23, 2004 The ladder match kicked ass, I remember Eddy giving RVD a back elbow that was stiff as fuck, plus the ladder-assisted slingshot senton was choice.
Epic Reine Posted September 24, 2004 Report Posted September 24, 2004 Was "choice"? Wow, slang has hit an all time low....
Lord of The Curry Posted September 24, 2004 Report Posted September 24, 2004 That response was definetly not choice.
Guest TheLastBoyscout Posted September 24, 2004 Report Posted September 24, 2004 "Tingly" is the next slang word. "Benoit's German Suplexes are fucking TINGLY!"
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted September 24, 2004 Report Posted September 24, 2004 After watching piece on Eddie's career, I'll stand firm on my previous statement. Though it could've been a little more exhaustive as they skipped over various parts of his career. What about Art Barr? Who cares, it all still ruled.

Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted September 24, 2004 Report Posted September 24, 2004 Is anyone going to call me crazy for denouncing the Chris Benoit DVD in the name of Eddie Guerrero?
Australian Pride Posted September 24, 2004 Report Posted September 24, 2004 Is anyone going to call me crazy for denouncing the Chris Benoit DVD in the name of Eddie Guerrero? No, because you're right.

Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted September 27, 2004 Report Posted September 27, 2004 RVD was pretty slick on the commentary besides his slurred and delayed speech. If this dvd took out the AWA and Chavo match, and replaced them with the Malenko Uncesnored 97 and Angle WM match it would be the greatest wwe dvd.
