Like at Summerslam '89 when the stage started falling apart and he could be heard off camera saying, "nice move." That makes me laugh just as much as Okerlund saying, "Fuck it!" That whole scene was funny as hell. Thump! "Nice move." "Fuck it!" Oh, god, that was priceless! Does anyone have that clip in AVI or MPG format?? Speaking of Lawler & JR, what was with them trying to say "Laddy" in an (Scottish?) accent on Monday? I think it may have been during Jeff Hardy vs Eddy Guerrero, but I'm not sure. JR says "Aye laddy" and Lawler tries to mimic him, but ends up sounding like he just swallowed a pile of gravel.

She gave birth to a plastic hand, and Pat Patterson goes, "Okay everyone, let's give Mae Young a hand!" and Brisco throws up in the corner... ...Cut to the announcers and JR is speechless, while Lawler has this HILARIOUS deer-in-the-headlights look of astonishment and horror. Like, "Oh my God, THAT was the payoff?!?". He didn't say anything, but he didn't need to.

Guest Posted May 5, 2002 Report Posted May 5, 2002 Even when Lawler does pull out the occasional humorous bit, the effect is rankled by how he shrieks practically everything. If it isn't bad enough that all he can be interested about is tits, he must scream everything in that high-pitched squeal of his. If they would just move Lawler to Smackdown and Angle, Jericho and the cruisers to Raw, I would be incredibly happy.

JR: And what is my speech impediment? I liked that just because I was thinking the same thing. There's JR speaking out of the side of his mouth and trying to make fun of somebody for stuttering.
