Slayer Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 Fucking A, I come home from work this morning only to see KSU getting pummeled by Fresno, 31-14 heading into the half
Guest Flyboy Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 Fresno St. is killing KSU... right on schedule for my pick.
teke184 Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 Nebraska has bounced back in the 3rd quarter and is now up 17-9.
Bored Posted September 11, 2004 Author Report Posted September 11, 2004 Fresno State pretty much puts away Kansas State going up 38-14 and they are on their way to the Top 25. The race between them and Boise State in the WAC is going to be a good one.
teke184 Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 Southern Miss roared back with a TD off of an INT, but missed the 2-point conversion. They have the ball back in the 4th quarter and are down by two, 17-15.
teke184 Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 Nebraska's RB tried to fight a LITTLE too long and got the ball knocked loose, which Southern Miss recovered at midfield. Southern Miss is now on the Nebraska 46 and is driving with 8 minutes left. *two seconds later* TOUCHDOWN THROW BY DUSTIN ALMOND! Southern Miss is up 21-17 and is about to attempt the PAT!
teke184 Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 HOLY SHIT, that was the funniest fumble I've ever seen... Nebraska's QB was scrambling with the ball and ran forward, getting it knocked out of his hands by one defender... and straight into the arms of another. Southern Miss is now up 21-17 with 4 minutes left and has the ball. If they score, it's over. If they get a long drive, it's probably over.
Slayer Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 After last week, I had a sinking feeling KSU might not be so good this year, especially without a notable starting QB... but I didn't think they'd be "losing by 4 TD's to an unranked opponent (even one as notable as FSU)" bad As long as the Huskers lose today too, I'll feel at least somewhat better
teke184 Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 This has been a REALLY bad week for the Big 12 North... Missouri got humiliated. K-State is being humiliated. Nebraska is about to lose at home to Southern Miss. The only plus side is that Iowa State is competitive with Iowa. Loss on downs... Southern Miss will run out the clock to win!!!!!!!!!!
Rob E Dangerously Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 Fuck.. Fresno State is just pounding KSU. I shoulda seen it coming after KSU's game with WKU. Well.. only the Big XII games matter in the long run. at least USM is beating the Huskers.
Bored Posted September 11, 2004 Author Report Posted September 11, 2004 Hey firing Frank Solich really worked out, huh?
Slayer Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 This might be Colorado's year to come back and surprise everyone again like in '01, especially since if they want to be on the list of notably scandalous D1 football schools (e.g. Nebraska, FSU, Miami) they'd better start playing like it
Slayer Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 Hey firing Frank Solich really worked out, huh? They're still trying to master the new concept that Knute Rockne once called a "forward pass"
Rob E Dangerously Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 Hey firing Frank Solich really worked out, huh? They're still trying to master the new concept that Knute Rockne once called a "forward pass" so.. any word on if Callahan's been canned yet?
therealworldschampion Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 Michigan just got another INT on Quinn, they get a TD here and it could get ugly.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 The Michigan/N.D. announce crew is terrible. They've given nothing but verbal BJs to the N.D. defense even though it looks like Michigan is basically toying with them.
therealworldschampion Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 It's NBC, what do you expect?
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 It's kind of irritating anyway since Notre Dame has stayed in it with 2 lucky passes and Michigan is just content to run it up the middle.
therealworldschampion Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 I'm guessing that Michigan is running the ball because Carr doesn't want to put too much on Chad Henne.
Slayer Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 Marshall is keeping it close with Ohio State, 21-14 OSU at the half
therealworldschampion Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 ND is ahead 14-12 now
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 Nice to see the refs in the Michigan/N.D. game have decided to not throw any flags on N.D. whatsoever.
Slayer Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 Goddammit... bad enough to watch KSU lose to an unranked, but as a Michigan fan I hate ND Also, national champion favorite Georgia is down 9-0 to South Carolina
therealworldschampion Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 Does Darius Walker have any relation to Herschel Walker?? He's from Georgia too.
Slayer Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 Well shit, there go the hopes for both my teams right away...
therealworldschampion Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 Not over yet, 28-20 ND now
therealworldschampion Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 Michigan couldn't get the onsides kick, 2:30 left and ND has the ball up 8
Slayer Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 Now it's over This was the "Willingham fights for his job" game
Bored Posted September 11, 2004 Author Report Posted September 11, 2004 Marshall has tied up Ohio State 21-21 and has the ball late in the 4th. Washington State down 20-12 with the ball late in Colorado territory.
