My great-grandparents on my dad's side cam over from Sweden in the early 1900's. I still have relatives over there and Swedish is still spoken by some in my family. My great-great grandparents on my mom's side came from Germany.

Of course, I'm not American, but...

We think one of my great-great grandmother on my father's side was German (mostly because of the name "Brandt" - a German name - which was brought into the family at that time). Otherwise my father's family is Norwegian, apart from a few Swedes, and my mother's family has lived on the west coast of Norway since the time of the Vikings...

Filipino

Why is the country called Phillipines and the nationality spelled Filipino?

Mother:

Sweedish

German

Father:

Welsh

German

I think all that German is why I want to take over the world. ;)

My father is Mexican American, but he has a Scottish name.  His father's father changed his name out of fear that his children will be discriminated against when they look for jobs.  He changed it to "Logan" to make it sound more "American;" his name was "Lujan."

Well, my family tree is fucked up.

I'm African-American, but my mom's side has Native American, German, English, and Spanish blood and I'm not sure about my dad's side, but I think there's a little English and maybe some NA blood, too.

Oh yeah, I'm pretty light-skinned for a brotha, but I'm tan as hell due to some LONG hours outside in the sun.

German and Irish. I come from a long line of alcoholics. Coincidence?

This will seem unbelievable, but:

25% Italian

25% Irish

12.5% Chinese

And 37.5% (deep breath): British, German, Dutch, Danish, Venezuelan, Trinidadian, Japanese, Korean, Indonesian, Polynesian, French(ugh), Belgian, Spanish, Portugese, and South African.

I've got a little bit of... Russian, Irish, Scottish, Cherokee (Native American tribe), Black Foot (another Native American tribe), Ukrainian, Panama-ian (?), German (?), and the rest I have no idea... I'm probably the most Russian though, so that's usually what I say I am, even though I'm truly "an American" in the sense that my parents were born in America and my grandparents were born in America (with the exception of my maternal grandmother who was born in Panama).  I've still got a bit of "the old country" in me, but not even enough to be counted as a "true" Russian.  I hate having no defined culture...

To simplify things, for those who are misguided and believe Judaism is a race rather than a religion, you could call me that.  I hate it since it's not true, but you could do it.

Pretty much 100% Australian.

Spanish

German

Italian

Native American

That's all I know, pretty much. There's chances of more European/Meditteranean bloodlines included somewhere in there also. I'm unaware of which tribe of Nat. American I'm made up of, probably something in the southwest, or descending down into Mexico.

there is no "ph" sound in spanish, so the "f" is used, right?

100% American no hyphen needed
