Guest Report post Posted May 1, 2002 -The WWF has opted to call the July PPV "Vengeance" this year. Last year "Vengeance" was the name of the December PPV. The December PPV this year will go back to being called "Armageddon." -Diamond Dallas Page has been advised by two doctors to retire from wrestling due to his neck injury which was suffered on the April 18th edition of Smackdown. One doctor has told DDP that one bad bump in the ring could snap his spinal cord and leave him paraplegic. Despite what doctors say though, DDP still wants to return to the ring for one last run.(I know this got put up in another thread but I think it was only one doctor before) -Taka Michinoku has apparently signed a 3 year contract extension, according to various Japanese publications.(I guess hes not gone after all) -Dawn Marie is said to be earning $1000 per week right now under her WWF developmental deal. Most developmental talent earns $500 per week. -The Big Valbowski will apparently be changing his name back to Val Venis.

Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted May 1, 2002 Best news on that report is that the Big Valbowki is getting dropped for the much better Val Venis.
Guest Report post Posted May 1, 2002 I don't think Val's name change will effect many WWF fans since almost no casual fans I talk to know who he is anyways.
Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted May 1, 2002 Why was it changed to "The Big Valbowski" in the first place? From what I remember that was an old gimmick nickname that predated his RTC stint. Too bad about DDP, but if my memory serves me right he's no spring chicken. Isn't he in his '40s? You mean there won't be another "inVasion"?!
Guest JMTapes Report post Posted May 2, 2002 If I'm not mistaken, with the exception of Hogan, DDP is the oldest wrestler in the WWF (46). -Jim www.jmtapes.com
