Guest MaskedDanger Report post Posted September 21, 2004 I just got a DC a couple of weeks ago, and I'm digging it. Fire Pro D's something special. I was just wondering if anyone has used the Dreamcast web browser to download content for their VMS? I've got a copy of Dreampassport Broadband and I've got a cable modem for my computer, so can I just buy some ethernet cable, plug the DC into my modem and start downloading, or is there some more hardware I'll need? While I'm at it, which is the better method, downloading with the Dreamcast, or buying a Nexus card / link cable and going that route? Any help is appreciated. Karnage 0 Report post Posted September 22, 2004 Downloading through the Dreamcast is a lot easier. The only problem with doing that is you need to type it out with the controller if you don't have a keyboard and I also needed to find a dial up number for internet since I don't own the ultra rare broadband adapter. Guest MaskedDanger Report post Posted September 22, 2004 I have the broadband ready web browser, but if there is a physical component I need--an actual adapter that plugs into the back of the Dreamcast--then I can use dial-up too. I'm off to go try it with dial up. Thanks for the help.
