God, I love that speech more and more everytime I see it. I'm picking up on more things, but this especially write now.

LILAH

Me? (laughs) Lover, I'm not even here. I'm just a figment in your devilishly handsome head. So, clearly, it's what you thought. For all your supposed darkness, edge of the razor mystique, (whispers in his ear) there was always a small part of you that thought you could pull me back from the brink of my evil, evil ways. Help me find redemption.

WESLEY

Redemption?

LILAH

(stands behind him with her hands on his shoulders) Angel's influence, I suppose. The whole not giving up on someone, no matter how far he—or she—has fallen. Oh, well. Too late for me. (Wes stands) Let's just get it over with. That body's not gonna dismember itself, you know.

A nod to Faith right there, coming up in that ep, since Wes was the one who had given up on her. The idea that finally that aspect of Angel had rubbed off.

WESLEY

(lifts the battle-axe) I'm sorry, Lilah.

LILAH

Oh, Wes, we don't have that word in our vocabulary. Not people like you and—

Awakening, and just how Wes never gave an apology. God, this dialogue is so packed.

Anya: You're pasty and wet and disgusting. They can dig without you.

Xander: Look...I don't really feel that bad.

Anya: I inflicted a lot of putrefying diseases on men when I was a vengeance demon, and you look like you're getting all of them.

Xander:.....ok. I'll stay. But you should go. You could catch it.

Anya: We'll die together. It's romantic. Let me get your trousers off.

Xander:.... you're a strange girlfriend.

Anya: I'm a girlfriend?

Xander: Uh...There's a chance I'm delirious.

Anya: Ah yes. Well, whatever it is that's making you sick, so far, I like it.

It's so deep.

And the thing that puts it over for me, is just Boreanaz is a better actor in the latter episode. Angellus may be more diabolical but the acting is really one-note. His delivery has improved so much.

Hush (4.10)

One of the greatest Buffy episodes ever. This one has a personal attachment with me because I spent the next 3 nights sleepless after watching it. Every time I closed my eyes I saw the gentlemen hovering past the window. One of the only true "horror" Buffy episodes and I loved it. Not only was it great as a stand alone episode though, it also progressed all the major story lines for the series: Buffy and Riley, Willow and Tara. It was just fantastic. (Plus Gile's cartoons own everything)

The Becoming: Possibly the second best ending to a season I've ever seen. Not only was it heartwrenchingly good but it changed the entire Buffyverse forever. The whole season was beautifully crafted to give an impression that although things seemed doomed it was all gonna be allright in the end. Then, suddenly, you realise that it isn't and with Buffy you see the world collapsing around you.

The Gift: Best ending ever to anything ever. It all fitted to gether so well, it was like a jigsaw puzzle working itself out before my very eyes.

Passions:I liked Salvage. I really did. It wasn't even close to being one of my favourite episodes though. Passions isn't one of my favourites either, but it was a much greater episode over all than Salvage which was really nothing special. Anyanka is right, the dialoge between Wes and ghost girl was quite silly and unneccessary. The death of the beast was really quite anticlimatic and served no significant purpose. I haven't seen both episodes in a while but there is no way that Salvage was anything special. Passions was, hence it gets my vote.

I love how Lilah makes the wardrobe change after Wesley affirms that she could never love him, further enforcing her cold nature in his mind.
