Guest Anglesault Report post Posted September 26, 2004 How do we know that? Did we have a futurific simulation on how Loaiza would pitch today? No, we have ten years of experience. He's a really, realy bad pitcher.
mike546 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2004 Katt said were working the counts on Schilling. Who cares about that if we can't hit the ball?
Guest Staravenger Report post Posted September 26, 2004 Loaiza has come off a few good reliefs the past few weeks and a good start against Toronto, so why not put a guy with momentum in than someone who's been injured for 3-4 weeks? It's devils advocate either way, but at least go with the guy who's TRYING to show he can pitch good in a Yankee uniform.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted September 26, 2004 If there's any consolation to this, we have an excellant chance of seeing a perfect game.

Guest Staravenger Report post Posted September 26, 2004 Mussian, Hernandez, Leiber - 3 Man Rotation in the Playoffs? Oops, error on the first name, but yeah. If Brown pitches like he did today next time, I'd question him starting until he's gotten some relief innings in. Â El Duque-Mussina-Leiber would be my order for the first series. The other game I can't remember...who was that against? Baltimore also? Â Â Edit: Torre needs to use Loaiza like he does Heredia. Use him for a small amount of time, building his confidence. Then let him pitch more each time if he developes good under that system.

Guest Staravenger Report post Posted September 26, 2004 I didn't get to see that game...Thank God. I could've sworn though he pitched another game or so around the time of the Baltimore game. I guess all the damn relievers Torre has is mixing my brain like a smoothy.

Guest Staravenger Report post Posted September 26, 2004 Looks like Loaizas calmed down since the first few batters of the 2nd inning...but he still gave the Red Sox too big of a lead to come back against, especially vs. Schilling.
