Guest Mudshark Report post Posted February 11, 2002 Back in the mid-eighties we used to have British wrestling shown every Saturday afternoon. Very rarely we would have our usual show replaced with WWF matches (not that I'm complaining - I'd rather have seen the British Bulldogs instead of Big Daddy any day of the week). Anyway, I seem to remember seeing Hulk Hogan in a ladder match on one of these shows. I know that seems really unlikey, and I think my memory is playing tricks on me, but does anyone out there know any different? Has Hogan ever been in a ladder match? Guest Dark Lotus Report post Posted February 11, 2002 I doubt it... the ladder match was pretty much a Stampede invention, and wasn't brought into the Whiff until about 92 or 93 when Bret and Shawn did some at house shows and later for a Coloseum tape. I guess it's *possible*, but I don't think it's likely.
Guest Mudshark Report post Posted February 11, 2002 Yeah, that's what I thought. I guess my brain was only half formed back then. Thanks for replying so fast.
Guest Tony149 Report post Posted February 11, 2002 Just the thought of Hogan in a ladder match is weird. I wonder what he would do in a match like that.
Guest J*ingus Report post Posted February 11, 2002 My guess is it would look a lot like the Dusty Rhodes vs. Tully Blanchard "barbed-wire ropes & ladder" match, which was mostly both guys pushing each other's faces slooooooowly towards the wire, and they never actually did anything with the ladder. Guest Tony149 Report post Posted February 11, 2002 That would be bad. I've seen one the Dusty/Tully "barb-wire on the ropes & ladder" matches on the Great American Bash '87 video and it was bad. Although it seemed like the barb-wire was real, as the camera had a perfect shot of the wire cutting Tully's arm. Unless they bladed.
Guest fouronthefloor77 Report post Posted February 13, 2002 It sorta looked like Dusty had a blade when he cut Tullys arm I dunno
