Only my 2nd time seeing them Live, first time was part of a radio festival (which was awesome) but only played 10 songs. I need to hear more Green Day and the new album is REAL good. Matt Young 0 Report post Posted October 1, 2004 Dammit, Jordan from NFG lied! At the Warped Tour, he said his band would be coming through St. Louis with Green Day. I see no date. Green Day's my favorite band, but I've never seen them live. I also wouldn't mind seeing NFG and/or Sugarcult again. Hmm... maybe I can make it to Chicago. moral suasion 0 Report post Posted October 1, 2004 I wonder if when they play the stuff from the new album they have another guitarist play with them or if Billie Joe is just masterful with the loop and effects pedal.
Guest Syxx Report post Posted October 3, 2004 They always have a second guitarist who plays with them. I forget his name right now but he played with them on the warning tour as well.

Guest Syxx Report post Posted October 4, 2004 Here you go: Jason White, the second guitarist for Green Day, is about to release an album with his full-time band The Influents. The Influents are signed the Billie Joe Armstrong's Adeline label. 'Some of the Young' is their second album following up 2000's 'Check Please'. 'Check Please' had another Green Day overlap. The cat sound heard of the record was Basil The Cat, Billie Joe's pussy. Drummer Willie Samuels also has a Green Day connection. As owner of Nutone Recording Studios in San Francisco he has recorded many a Green Day song in the studio. Billie Joe features on 'Some of the Young' filling in for bass duties on some of the tracks. *By the way* White did play with them on the Warning tour. For historical purposes when they came to MuchMusic in November of 2000 for an intimate and interactive gig White was playing with them. He plays on songs that they need a second guitarist for.
