TNABaddboi 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2004 I'm watching the entrances in his match with AJ against Triple X from that period. Let's see...nice reaction for Triple X, good pop for AJ...something between a grumble and murmur for D'Lo. The only pop of the night he got was for a top-rope move, and popping for the moves rather than the person does not say much for the person. Many of his reactions in other matches also got smatterings of boos even when he was a face. For the amount he was being paid and pushed at that time, I don't think he got nearly enough reaction. Donners, if you're watching the Best of the Title Matches DVD, watch the ladder match with AJ that starts out the second DVD. The crowd was so into D'Lo right there and I don't think I would have been mad if TNA had pulled the switch there, though I understood why they didn't. Either way, I think D'Lo's first TNA run was his best stuff since his heel run in 98 (hell...he even pulled some entertaining moments out of Siaki, who was over as a heel for the first time since he burned the Elvis suit). And the feud with AJ was one of the best title feuds in TNA's history in my opinion. It had a story arc that many of TNA feuds lack and you could see the back history playing out as the matches continued.
