Edwin MacPhisto Posted October 2, 2004 Report Posted October 2, 2004 VT gets the win, and West Virginia will have a tough time getting back into the top 10 this year. A decent, gritty game, but both teams were pretty sloppy. I'm less impressed with VT than I am really unimpressed with the Mountaineers.
iggymcfly Posted October 2, 2004 Report Posted October 2, 2004 Shit, Georgia is kicking ass out there. If this keeps up, I might have to completely retract everything I've said about them being overrated. Even that ugly broken reverse got a decent gain.
iggymcfly Posted October 2, 2004 Report Posted October 2, 2004 Is anyone watching this LSU/Georgia game? Not only have the Tigers been taking it up the ass, they turned around so Georgia could shoot it in their face too.
Slayer Posted October 2, 2004 Report Posted October 2, 2004 I was watching most of it until I got bored, since it's a blowout featuring two teams I don't really care about  But yes, Georgia is all over LSU in this game
Bored Posted October 2, 2004 Author Report Posted October 2, 2004 The Kyle Orton for Heisman campaign is going to be in full effect after today. Just connected on a 97 yard touchdown to Taylor Stubblefield and Purdue is rolling 27-3.
Edwin MacPhisto Posted October 2, 2004 Report Posted October 2, 2004 I was just about to note both of these blow-outs in the making. Two very, very unexpected huge leads. With Miami running away from Georgia Tech, it looks Tennessee/Auburn is going to be the big competitive game of the week.
Damaramu Posted October 2, 2004 Report Posted October 2, 2004 Damn Georgia is all like "Overrated? Overrate this biatches!"
Slayer Posted October 2, 2004 Report Posted October 2, 2004 I switched to the ND game only to be greeted by a group of stickly "men" in the stands all shirtless and with every square inch above the waist painted green... it looked as if the Incredible Hulk had split up into several much much smaller Hulks
iggymcfly Posted October 2, 2004 Report Posted October 2, 2004 Kyle Orton looks amazing out there. If I wasn't gonna have to move up Georgia and the Auburn/Tennessee winner, I'm pretty sure Purdue would make it's way back into the top five. Â On the bright side, I get to move Texas down. I didn't really think they'd earned the 4 spot, but I couldn't figure out who else to put there when Purdue was paying mediocre ball against the Illini.
Damaramu Posted October 2, 2004 Report Posted October 2, 2004 Georgia's looking good. Though I don't think that LSU is the real test for them in that conference. I think Auburn might be.
Slayer Posted October 2, 2004 Report Posted October 2, 2004 In Big 12 news, Colorado, the only undefeated team in the North, is down 17-9 to Missouri with 8 minutes to go  EDIT: and shortly after I post this, Mizzou INTs Colorado in their end zone when the Mizzou safety yanks the ball from a Colorado receiver's hands in midair  Wow
2GOLD Posted October 2, 2004 Report Posted October 2, 2004 Think it is safe to say  GOOOOODBYEEEE REPEAT  Course, the odds of LSU repeating with what they returned was slim to none anyway but this basically confirms they are in trouble of pulling off the BCS TITLE RETURN.  LSU will need 28 points in the fourth quarter to get back into the game.
Slayer Posted October 2, 2004 Report Posted October 2, 2004 Missouri beats Colorado, leaving no undefeated teams in the Big 12 North
Damaramu Posted October 2, 2004 Report Posted October 2, 2004 Alright what I've been waiting for all day! Go VOLS!
2GOLD Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 In the "what? Why is ESPN2 showing that?" game, the Gamecocks score a TD and go ahead 13-3 on Alabama. Â Now it's time to see if Auburn is for real. Early 7-0 lead for the Tigers.
Damaramu Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 God I love that Tennessee fight song! Kotz what's that called?
Slayer Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 TD Auburn and they go up 14-3 Â And more bad news for the Big 12 North as KSU is down to Texas AnM 21-7
Guest GreatOne Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 Yegods is UW terrible. 0-4 now after today's inspired 27-13 loss to Stanford. Always sad when you can't take advantage of three interceptions for jack or shit. Â Carl Bonnell: The bitch who committed to Wazzu then cried and ran to UW when Price took the Bama job, a whopping 9 of 27 for 118 yards and an interception. Â Let's see: Josh Swogger has gone three straight games without a pick, an almost unheard of feat for a Wazzu soph QB lately, and has a 9-2 TD/INT ratio, so I don't think anyone's quite missing whatsizname........................
Slayer Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 Washington sure is missing that Neuheisel fella right about now...
Guest GreatOne Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 Actually it's moreso following the Neuheisel/CU pattern: Â Stays four years at CU (95-98), has really big second year (96 ironically when CU beat UW in the Holiday Bowl), leaves and the program goes to hell (other than 2001) Â Stays four years at UW (99-02), has really big second year (Rose Bowl in 2000), leaves and the program goes to hell (when he started campaigning for the Ohio St, Notre Dame, and 49ers jobs--as if any of the three even wanted him but that's a different discussion, you could see this coming. I'm not sure UW'll be winning the Pac 10 again anytime soon)
Bored Posted October 3, 2004 Author Report Posted October 3, 2004 Yegods is UW terrible. 0-4 now after today's inspired 27-13 loss to Stanford. Always sad when you can't take advantage of three interceptions for jack or shit. Times are definently bad at UW when Stanford beats them fairly easily without even playing all that well. Stanford is obviously much better this year but UW has just owned them over the years. Cardinal now halfway to a bowl bid.
Guest GreatOne Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 I'm kinda worried for the Cougs all the sudden, this being the year they finally (hopefully) break through and bring the Apple Cup back home it just looks too easy right now................
Bored Posted October 3, 2004 Author Report Posted October 3, 2004 Wow this day of huge match-ups is turning into a day huge blow outs. Auburn goes up 24-3 on Tennessee.
Guest GreatOne Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 Score of the night: Â 7:25 left 3rd qtr: Kansas 8, Nebraska 7 Â Yep, that coaching change really fixed things I tell ya....................
Guest GreatOne Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 Holy fuck! Vanderbilt's up 31-7 on Miss St. Yes Vandy, in an SEC game. Â Hell they'll be one up on the Huskies (when was the last time you could say THAT in football) if they don't blow it here.
Bored Posted October 3, 2004 Author Report Posted October 3, 2004 Fresno State is down 28-21 to Louisiana Tech with just about three minutes to go.
Guest GreatOne Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 Bestill my heart, Kansas is making one final run as they trail Nebraska 14-8 Â And Vanderbilt beats Mississippi St 31-13. So it's official, Vandy > UW (for now)
Guest GreatOne Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 Pinegar gets picked so FSU's done. La Tech runs out clock and wins 28-21
iggymcfly Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 UW's terrible. They're going 1-10 this year. And unfortunately, all of us here in Pullman know what that one win will be, coming somewhere around, oh..... November 20.
Guest GreatOne Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 Only if Alex Brink has to play in relief..................
