Goldberg negotiations, chris benoit's status, corr

Recommended Posts

Guest

- The WWF has re-started negotiations with Goldberg as it pertains to buying out his existing Time Warner contract so that he can join the federation. Despite the on-off talks, it is not known how serious the discussions are or whether they will accomplish anything. The last time the WWF talked to Goldberg was last year when Hulk Hogan pitched the idea of returning alongside Goldberg, rather than with the nWo.

- Chris Benoit is expected to return in four to six weeks. He has stepped up his in-ring training and has apparently reported no pain whatsoever. Although Benoit was drafted to the Smackdown! roster, there are rumors that they may work an angle to get him to the RAW brand instead, perhaps with Arn Anderson as his manager.

- The story about Taka Michinoku re-signing a three year contract was apparently a work that Taka himself created. In reality, Taka has reportedly quit the WWF after his recent deal ran out so he could spend more time in Japan.

The TAKA story makes me happy. I honestly don't want him back in the WWF where he's just going to be humiliated and discredited.

The Benoit story makes me very happy. I hope he does come to RAW, seeing as Smackdown makes me want to choke on my own vomit as of late.

As for Goldberg... meh, who gives a rats ass. Sign him for a one-shot deal and feed him to BROCK. *grin*

Why is Vince so wet for Goldberg?  Doesn't he realize that he is making the same mistakes WCW did just three years or so ago?  Pushing the old stars and not creating new ones with new storylines.

And if Vince was so hell bent on bringing in Nash, Hall, Hogan, and Goldberg, then he should have done so last year during the Invasion.

The Goldberg situation is funny because you look at the NWO and they haven't racked up a lot of wins. Hogan has begun a title reign that looks like it will be one of the WWF's worst ever, and now they want to bring in a guy who talks shit about them all the time. If they bring Goldberg in, will they give him the DDP treatment?

If the Goldberg thing is true (and it was in the observer, so ill believe that more than others) someone needs to take Vince aside and say:

"Vince, instead of spending millions of dollars on another guy who peaked, and one who does not care about the business, has a bad temperment, injury prone, and injury prone to other, why dont you just give Brock Lesnar (who is already getting over)a new higher contract and give him incentive to go for extra training on off days to become a better perfromer, in the ring AND on the mic than Goldberg ever was or ever will be"

of course vince's respone might be

"damnit! im going to sign Goldberg, and Savage, and the Godwins, and you can kiss my ass"

Out of everyone Vince brought in or has had some kind of thought as to doing so, I'd have loved to see Savage tear it up one last time.  He has the Flair-esque style in the ring now, he can still entertain.

Hogan will tank real soon.

Nash already did.

Hall is fine.

Goldberg will also do fine.

Steiner see above.

But I'd trade em all for Savage.

As much as I would like to see people already in the WWF get a push and I am afraid Goldberg could injure someone.... The WWF needs some top tier guy to go with Austin on RAW.  The Undertaker doesn't motivate him but I think Goldberg could and it would draw interest into the WWF.

I also think the WWF is better at hiding a wrestler's weaknesses in matches and I believe would be able to work with Goldberg.

You also have to admit that Goldberg brings a lot of intensity into the ring and that translates over to the crowd.   And the most important thing is for the WWF to stay afloat (its not going anywhere for a long while).  I say if Goldberg can bring in some ratings or up PPV buys then great because the WWF would never survive by having just use internet fans around.

But they are also driving the regular fans I think away with the crap storylines they are doing now.  Why can't anyone ever just have a feud because someone beat them down backstage?  Remember just last year where they were advancing a storyline by just having someone jump someone backstage one week and the other person the next week/show interfere in a match and like cost someone a title?

The WWF needs to realize that you don't have to have someone talk for 10 minutes each goddamn show to advance the fucking storyline.  Just go back to damn basics instead of fucking  trying to act like TV writers which they aren't.  TV writers have freaking skills (outside of the ones that write anything on the WB and Buffy).   God they piss me off.

Bringing back Goldberg would fucking rule. He's one of the only guys that evryone cheered for(except for net wrestling fans, who hate evryone popular) I could care less about Brock Lesnar, because he sucks, and having Goldberg could make things alot more interesting, Although I would shit my pants if they faught eachother. Of course Goldberg would win.

This is my opinion on Goldberg. I put this in an other tread, "Pick and Wrestler, and flame him endlessly."

FUCK YOU GOLDBERG!!!!!

Big Bald piece of shit.

Pushed to the moon.

Only cared about the Money

Didn't give a shit about the business.

Hurt 3/4's of the fuckin' roster.

Retired a fuckin' Legend like Bret Hart because he was a stiff fuckin' idiot!

Doesn't take responsibility for hurting others. Says, "Oh, it wasn't my fault."

Refused to work with other talent.

Made the Business look bad by trying to pick a fight with Triple H at a Charity event.

Has the nerve to take cheap shots at the WWF for not doing more Charity work even though WWF does and even gave 1 Million dollars and over $500,000 in clothes and gave the workers of "Ground Zero" a place to rest and eat for free. Goldberg SELLS items on E-bay and gives portions of that to the 911 causes and thinks he's important. Oh, and he went there and signed a few autographs. Big Fuckin' Deal!

Still talks like he's the Be All, End All, of Wrestling even though his biggest job these days are appearing at Auto-Shows.

The Most Overrated, Over Paid, Unemployed idiot EVER!

Once again..

FUCK YOU GOLDBERG!!!!!!

Bringing in Goldberg on Raw would make sense, because of Flair's wel known WCW ties.  The angle could be that sinse Flair can't beat Austin himself, he's going to get someone who can, he could bring back Steiner first, who Austin would beat.  Then bring in Sid who Austin would beat, then fire Sid.  The bring in Goldberg for SummerSlam.  I think it would draw pretty well.  Put Goldberg over and book a rematch for Survivor Series where Austin would win. Then move Austin to a feud with Benoit and Goldberg over to Rock.

Just the fact that Lesnar can do anything outside of a spear and jackhammer makes him better than Wasteberg.

So, what exactly makes Brock Lesnar suck - and Bill Goldberg this god of wrestling? Hmm? I'd really like to know.

Yes, let's just keep hiring more dead weight. And when Vince realizes how much money he wasted on all these washed-up, no-talent head cases, he can always release some of the "lesser" talent to recoup his losses; i.e., everyone.

How much more "main event" talent can Vince hire before the guys with real talent disappear from our TVs altogether? I for one would rather not find out.

Vince will learn after Goldberg drops or kicks a fragile Benoit or Austin in the head.
