Guest Choken One Posted May 2, 2002 Report Posted May 2, 2002 Just watch the Bengals. I promise you this...They will be the RAMS/PATS/TITANS of 2002-03...let me restate...they will be the BEARS of 2002-03.

No one can tell me I'm on the bandwagon either I've suffered through 11 years of no playoffs. If we don't make it this year, I'll be really dissapointed.
Guest thevertex Posted May 3, 2002 Report Posted May 3, 2002 AFC: Pittsburgh Miami New York Jets Cleveland Oakland Tennessee NFC: St. Louis San Francisco Philadelphia Green Bay Tampa Bay Seattle The thing about parity is, there's only about 3 sure things in each conference. A San Diego, New Orleans, New England, Arizona, Cincinatti, Dallas, New York Giants, Chicago, or Indianapolis could all be contenders depending on the way the chips fall. I just listed my top 6 rankings based on how they currently look on paper.

If you guys got Bledsoe, I'd call Cincy a playoff team right now, but I don't know if Kitnamania can do it.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted May 4, 2002 Report Posted May 4, 2002 Ferrote mania baby. It's running wild in Cinci. Anyway...my team did get Bledsoe..and a hell of alot of other quality people too. However. With the AFC east being as tough as it is...only the division winner is going to make the playoffs. 4 division winners and 2 Wild Cards...I dont see a wild card coming out of the AFC east with that tough crew. So only the Dolphins will make it out alive...to be bounced in the first round as always. SuperBowl: 49ers over Raiders.
Guest El Satanico Posted May 4, 2002 Report Posted May 4, 2002 The Bengals are due to break out one of these seasons and no this isn't coming from a Bengals fan(i'm a Cleveland fan). All the Bengals need to be a real threat is at least decent qb play. Kitna and Ferrote aren't exactly the solution at qb that the Bengals need but they CAN be good enough to give the Bengals a shot at winning games. If they could've convinced Bledsoe to come play for them they would've been picked to win their division by alot of "experts", but i think they CAN get decent production from Kitna or Ferrote. Speaking of Bledsoe. His decision of not going to Cincinnati was a case of his mind being clouded by the perception of the Bengals. The Bengals are in a much better position then Buffalo is. Cincy has a good solid line, one of the best running backs in the league, a young but talented wr corp that could really shine with a good qb and they have a solid talented defense. They also have a coach that they want to play good for unlike other years. Bills have a weaker oline(even with Mike Williams), no rb that has proven himself(too early to know if Travis Henry is going to be a reliable rb), wrs who are all proven underacheivers except for Eric Moulds and a decent defense that gets better each year. Overall Cincinnati has a better team then Buffalo. WR is the only edge Buffalo has over Cincinnati. Buffalo only gets the edge on WRs because of Moulds the rest of the wrs arent any better then Cincinnati's WRs. So what was Bledsoe thinking with choosing a team that's still building(Buffalo) over a team that's ready to win now and just needs a qb to complete the team(Bengals)? However even with me defending the Bengals i still have no clue why in hell they drafted Levi Jones. Sure he could be a good player but they could've traded down to at least 15th and still got him. But even if they traded down they shouldn't have drafted him. They don't need a ot right now, you can't pick a backup player in the first and they could've really used a cornerback. I understand that they need a ot to groom for when Richmond Webb retires, but god damn you can get a good ot for grooming in the second round and lower.
Guest razazteca Posted May 4, 2002 Report Posted May 4, 2002 The big question for the Dallas Cowboys is who will be the QB this season? Will the running QB experiment continue, if so then the Cowboys better be looking for Free Agents who can block. Ever since "Moose" Johnston and Jay Novachik left the team, the Cowboys offense went on a downward spiral, thus causing more injuries to the major stars Emmit & Troy. Also how long will the field goal kicker be the #1 offensive threat? Since the NFC East is now 4 teams with the Cardinals leaving who will the Cowboys look for in a guantee win game? But there is hope with the draft pick in Roy Williams from Okahoma. Defense is a very important part of the game, and with Williams as Safty, he is looked at as the next Deon Sanders. In these days of parity Defense is the key to the Superbowl, now if only Jerry Jones would stay off the field.
