Villains in x-men/spiderman sequels

Recommended Posts

Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly

They said there won't be a Doctor Octopus in Spiderman 2, but I would like him to be in it. I would like to see Sandman or Mysterio in his place, those are the ones I think they could pull of the best.

In the X-Men sequel, I don't know what new villains I would like to see, but I would like to see Nightcrawler and maybe Beast.

I say they go all out and have a Carnage/ Venom/ Spiderman trilogy.

Too much storylines and interesting stuff to jam it into one movie, they should at least have two.

I'd like to see a bigger Wolverine/Sabertooth saga in X-men two, and have Apocolypse wreak havoc on them with the emergence of Cable.

Sandman and Mysterio I don't think would be big enough foes for the next Spider-Man flick...I would wager more than likely the Lizard or the Vulture, and maaaaaaaybe Venom...

you would think Apacolypse would be the next villian in the next X-Men movie but something tells me it'd be the Hellfire Club or perhaps Magneto again or something like that...

It's to early for Venom. Carnage would have to be an R rated movie, so I don't think he'll be in a movie.

For Spidey 2, Lizard or Electro would be cool.

Apocolypse for X-Men 2.

Venom and Carnage will NEVER be in a Spider-Man movie, they are getting their own movie franchise(Venom movie).  It won't be about Spider-Man at all.  Anyways, the X-Men movie sucked IMO, so there shouldn't be a sequel.  Doc Ock is set to be the villian in part two.  I think the Green Goblin II(Harry Osbourn) should be in the third and final film.

No way... really?! That's friggin' awesome, since my original reply was going to be "one word: carnage".

I haven't read the comic books in years though, but how will Venom and Carnage work without Spider-man though? Isn't he directly responsible for the creation of both of their suits?

They could make a giant Marvel cross-over movie, that would rock.

I used to be a BIG Venom/Carnage fan.  Until all the many other symbiotes came in...I think it is pretty weird that all the symbiotes have Spider-Man eyes and teeth.  The comic book artists have also been drawing Venom TOO big, Eddie doesn't have muscles that big.  Anyways, I find Spider-Man more interesting than the symbiotes.

They don't need to be in the Spider-Man movie, it can run on its own.

I thought I read somewhere that Kirsten Dunst accidentally let slip that the villains for the sequel will be Doc Ock and Lizard....could be wrong.

For Spider-man, I'd go with that combo.

For the third film, I'd do a Venom saga.

If they do more than those films, I'd like to see them go crazy for once and do a massive Sinister Six type story.

For the X-Men franchise, I thought I heard that the sequel will focus on the Sentinels, and possibly an anti-mutant group (like the Friends of Humanity).  Or might include Magneto again.

In my perfect world, X-Men 2 would be about Mr. Sinister.

X-Men 3 would be a big epic focusing upon Apocalpyse, costarring either Cable or Bishop.

The reason why I say Mysterio and Sandman is because I think those are two villains that can be done. I would like Venom and Carnage to be in a movie like everybody else, but I don't want them to look like shit. I don't think they would look very good if they were brought to life. Sandman could be done effectively and the fights would be very interesting. I don't know if he could be a main villain in a movie, but it would be great if they used him. I think the Eddie Brock character would have to be introduced in Spider-Man before they put Venom in a sequel.

What's all this about Cable being in X-Men 2? Outside of the X-cutioner's Song, he was hardly affliated at all with the X-Men. Unless they feel like backtracking and doing the Phoenix Saga to explain all the plotholes and THEN do the XS story arc, then there's no need for Cable be anywhere near them.

As far who should be in the sequel: Probably Magneto or Apocalyse

On Spider-Man, the Vemon storyline would be pretty kickass as a movie, but since Carnage would warrent an R rating, it's seems highly unlely.

the rights to Venom are all tied up.. at one point they were going to do a Venom movie before Spider-Man.

Id like Mysterio with a great budget to really play on the illusions

X2: Nimrod, Apocalypse, Cassandra Nova, Hellfire Club, maybe Proteus

I'm thinking it would be cool to see Juggernaut in the next X-Men movie. I also want to see Angel since he's one of my favorite characters. Maybe in the next movie they will put a mask on Hugh Jackman since he doesn't look weathered enough to be Wolverine. I just realized that him not having a mask might have been what was bothering me about Wolverine.

Spider-Man:

I think Doc Ock and Lizard would work pretty well in a sequel, since they can use Curt Connors as a tragic figure, and do the angst thing that Spider-Man comics are known for.

Also, wouldn't it be nice to see some plot development that carries over to the next movie?  I know it goes against the grain of everything that the Hollywood movie machine is about, but still...

I think Venom as a franchise wouldn't work UNLESS you spin him off from the Spidey movies, a la Scorpion King.  He doesn't have any major mainstream recognition, so you gotta build it somehow.

X-Men:

First off, I hope that X2 isn't an FX spotfest like the first one.  Fool me once etc. etc.

Magneto's not dead yet, so use him for part 2, have Professor X take him in, like in the comics.  And have the Hellfire Club be the next set of villains.

i agree. i dont know why they wanted to do that, but cooler (smarter) heads must have prevailed.

It would be great if they introduce the Punisher as a villain in the second movie, and have him as an allie in the the third one.  Similar to their relationship in the comic book.

I also didn't like the X-Men movie, for the next movie though, I would like it if they involved the other X-Groups (X-Force, X-Factor) in some way.  Maybe they could team up to fight a few villians at once or something.  OR wouldn't it be great if they made that 7 issue crossover in the comics (with hologram on the right side of the cover) into a movie?

I don't know if it would be good to introduce another group in the X-Men sequel. That's a whole lot of characters to introduce, and they didn't really bother to do much character explanation as far as the villains (Mystique, Toad or Sabretooth) are concerned. There was no mention of Wolverine and Sabretooth's past (so I'm assuming that it doesn't exist in the movie) or much information presented about Sabretooth's powers. They still have to give a little more time to telling us about the X-Men besides Wolverine and Rogue. I want more characters introduced, and I think it would be foolish not to introduce them for merchandising purposes alone. I just think they should keep away from introducing another team.

I vote for Doc Ock on Spidey and Master Mold and the Sentinels for X2.

The first X-Men movie was terrible, IMO.  It doesn't need a sequel.  I would like to see a NEW X-Men movie that has nothing to do with the original.

But I'm pretty sure Venom and Carnage won't be in any of the Spider-Man movies.  Maybe they should just spin-off a live-action Spider-Man TV show, like the way Smallville is being done.

X-men 2 should be aboot the sentenals.

I can see it continuing off of the last Xmen film, with Beast and Gambit coming back from scouting Genoa (or whereever the Sentinals were built), this not only introduces them, but explains their abscence in the first film.

a)It furthers the anti-mutant storyline est. in the first movie.

b)It can allign Magneto and Prof X together to fight against a common enemy.

c)It can end with Apocalypse morphing from a influencial Anti-mutant activist to his regular bad self.

It can have Wolverine up in Canada finding out about his origins, have him maybe meet up with some old friends, maybe meet up with a new mutant and stuff (perhaps even Cable/Bishop)  But ONLY have those two storylines.  Wolverine and Xavier/Magneto vs. Sentenals.  You can continue the Jean Grey/Cyclops storyline, but you dont have to elaborate on it, you can do that in the 3rd one.  Too many storylines ruined Batman and Robin (That and bad acting and cheesy special effects and horrible writing)

From there they can have the Apoc vs. Mutant saga.  With everything coming full-circle.

I like that idea too. Maybe they can even pull out Gambit/Bishop/Cable, and grow up Rogue and Iceman since they were never kids in the comics(well, in Rogue's case, at least). Hell, maybe they could even intro Nightcrawler or Angel as well.

Also, the Proteus storyline happens to be one of my favorite arcs ever(except for that stupid Warriors/X-Force/X-Factor crossover from 94) and he just made a real kick ass opponent.

In the movie they mention "Eddie" who works for the paper (Venom)...if Brock Lesnar could act he'd be perfect.

Peter mentioned working for DR Conner (Lizard)

Then there's Obsourne's son...Hemogoblin is it?

And for some reason every time I think of Doc Ock now I just think of Elton John...creepy

Nightcrawler would be cool in the next X-men movie... as someone who wasn't really a big fan of the original movie, it'd be enough to get me to watch it, although I can't imagine it being done well either.  It'd probably be something along the lines of Elijah Wood in his Frodo get-up, only with white contacts and blue hair... eugh... it's too late to try and think constructively.
