Guest areacode212 Report post Posted May 3, 2002 Cole is the man responsible for the 'Desire' videos. Could someone please cite a source for this? People here have been saying this for months, but I've never read it anywhere else.
Guest Report post Posted May 3, 2002 First of all, whoever said that no one watches Heat needs to get their head on straight. They've been producing some great matches (well, that don't involve Bossman) like the Dreamer/Credible match from last Sunday and the Eddy/D'Lo match as well. Anyways, as for Cole, I actually think it's good to have him on commentary. He's someone for us all to laugh at. At least you get that with Cole. With JR, you just get a sad, pathetic old man who doesn't even know the name of 90% of the wrestlers Signature & Finishing moves, NOR their names half the time. I mean, shit, how fucking hard is it to tell Matt & Jeff Hardy apart? Yet for most of the Jeff/Eddy match on Monday, he kept referring to Jeff as "Matt Hardy." His calling of moves is atrocious! How hard is it to put over a signature move without miscalling it (Read: calling the Snow Plow a brain buster) or not naming it at all (Read: the Whisper in the Wind is apparently called "The Big Move")... Pathetic. Sad, and pathetic. ;p
Guest Risk Report post Posted May 3, 2002 Cole is pathetic, I don't want to hear him, I just want him GONE.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted May 3, 2002 The Coach is doing a pretty good job with Raven on Heat. They mention things like psycology in matches and they actually talk about the matches for the most part.
Guest Redhawk Report post Posted May 3, 2002 Coach is good at calling the moves, he just needs to quit trying to be funny. It sounds like he's trying to get over some kind of heel announcer persona, by laughing at his own jokes. Like a couple of weeks ago, he said: "I apologize for saying Big Show (who was still a babyface at the time) has a 200-pound head ... He has a 300-pound head! HAHAHAHAHAHA!" Guest chirs3 Report post Posted May 3, 2002 JR is good. Yes, he could be better, but he's good. He can land a decent joke and is a hell of a lot better at being serious than King or Cole. I miss Ross/Heyman...
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted May 3, 2002 JR was good. Was not is...was. Just like Tony Shivonie at one was a good announcer. JR and Lawler both need to hang it up, their days of being good announcers are long gone.
