Guest Risk Report post Posted May 2, 2002 Vince claims there are NO heels and faces in his company. It IS his company, so if he says there are none, there isn't, he decides what he wants for his company. The guy is an asshole, but, IMO, heels and faces are boring. Guest Mystery Eskimo Report post Posted May 2, 2002 I'm sure this has already been mentioned, but any and all of Paul Wights turns have generally been awful and laughable. I don't think heels and faces are boring. They're an integral part of the wrestling system.

Guest Report post Posted May 2, 2002 Bradshaw turning heel on Terry Funk for pretty much no reason at Fully Loaded 1998. While we're on that subject, how about Bradshaw turning on Vader (or was it the other way around?) after they teamed once on the HeAT before SummerSlam 98? Guest Report post Posted May 2, 2002 Someone queried about Mr Perfect's turn in 1996, Well Mr P was a "face" commentator and was very critical of HHH (Blueblood heel) and his treatment of valet/escorts. Mr Perfect then helped Marc Mero (Wildman Face) in winning the IC title from Faarooq in a Tournament Final the night after IYH Mind Games. Mr Perfect was then due to face HHH on RAW but was "injured" backstage by HHH and couldnt compete however, Mero stepped in to replace Perfect and fought HHH for the IC title. Perfect turned heel on Mero and helped HHH win the IC title and revealed it as a cunning plan. Mr Perfect, I believe was scheduled to feud with Mero and have a match on The Royal Rumble 1997 PPV however, when seeking geniune clearance to wrestle again (last competing in late 1993) Perfect found that he would lose out on a substantial Lloyds of London Insurance policy he had accrued due to his back injury. When he realised that he would lose out in the region of $100,000 by wrestling before May 1997 he asked Vince to buy off the amount due but only for a fraction (I think he was happy to accept $35,000-$50,000) Vince thought it over and disagreed telling Perfect just to get back in the ring and with his projected push (Possibly IC Title Run and World Title Feud) he would recoup the $100,000 by the end of the year. Mr Perfect was not so sure one because of his projected push in 1990 (Denied a Promised Rumble Win and Warrior Title Match) never materialised because of backstage politics and secondly in the event that his back was not up to the rigours of WWF wrestling anymore and he would not be able to wrestle during the year for a time. Both Parties refused to budge and Perfect left WWF a few weeks after the turn on remarkably quite amicable terms, even though Vince was a bit PO'ed at having to rejig some of the storylines with Mero and HHH to compensate. Perfect got his final insurance payment called Vince in May 1997 but was told that because of Austin's push, Bret/Shawn feud and a general downturn in WWF business he was not required so Curt Hennig signed with WCW without his Mr Perfect Moniker! Guest DokDoyle Report post Posted May 5, 2002 ...And the Godfather turned heel? When did this happen? Should I actually be watching Heat? :0 But I guess with those "bankruptcy" hints the announcers kept dropping, it makes sense that it led up to something... Actually..to see the Godfather's Heel turn, you had to watch Jakked/ Metal, which since the split has been a really good show.
Guest crandamaniac Report post Posted May 6, 2002 Sting's heel turn at Fall Brawl: I swear, NOBODY was booing him when he laid out the Orange Goblin and I was loving every single minute of it. I must agree, the whole crowd (which unfortunately did not sell out the arena, so they had to bring the people from the upper deck to the bottom to fill it up, Gotta love WCW) was cheering there brains out. Sting became the biggest babyface in the world that night
