Slayer 0 Report post Posted October 9, 2004 USC wins? USC has no challenge left! OU has no challenge left! ORANGE BOWL. Just remember to win your conference title game this time. Thanks to the system, they don't even have to do that

therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted October 9, 2004 4th and 10 now for Georgia. And the UT band plays Rocky Top for the 45th time. Georgia gets the 1st, now 1st and 10 at the Tennessee 40 with 19 seconds. Georgia's got one more shot at the 19.

Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted October 9, 2004 It's over. Seeya, Dawgs. I can't believe it - next week's Virginia/FSU game is going to be #5 vs. #6 or 7. Wow.

Hogan Made Wrestling 0 Report post Posted October 9, 2004 I'm not terribly impressed with USC right now. They remind me of last year's OSU team winning all these close games, and their only saving grace might be that they don't have a Michigan left to play for their final game of the season. therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted October 9, 2004 Auburn may be the team out of the Ohio State/LSU "win the national title after a 5 loss year" mode. A home game against Georgia and the SEC Championship are their only roadblocks to an undefeated season. Don't forget about Virginia either, wins over FSU and Miami in the next few weeks will put them in the hunt.
therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted October 9, 2004 I almost forgot, Utah is looking REALLY good for a BCS berth now with the upsets that happened.

Guest GreatOne Report post Posted October 10, 2004 Good thing to come out of today: EWU 45 NAU 14!~ The entire 4th was made up of OVERRATED! chants. Next week, it's our Cal/SC showdown when Montana comes rollin' in for the Governor's Cup, also winner should have the inside track on the Big Sky championship. Bad: Wazzu completely gets their asses kicked in the 4th and loses 41-38 to Oregon. Oh well, it's not like there were any SERIOUS bowl designs anyway.......................The Apple Cup basically WILL be a bowl game in itself.
Slayer 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2004 Even though KSU and Kansas are playing right now, FSN, which typically shows Big 12 games, has elected to show us the EXTREMELY IMPORTANT TO KANSAS game that is UCLA-Arizona
Slayer 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2004 Checking the online score it's now... Shit KU up 17-6 over KSU If they win, I'll never hear the end of it from local KU fans "Hah, now we can beat you at football AND basketball"
Bored 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2004 Even though KSU and Kansas are playing right now, FSN, which typically shows Big 12 games, has elected to show us the EXTREMELY IMPORTANT TO KANSAS game that is UCLA-Arizona This is FSN's national coverage so everyone is getting Arizona/UCLA. They decided to show Missouri/Baylor as the Big 12 national game for whatever reason tonight.
Guest GreatOne Report post Posted October 10, 2004 My god Texas Tech is just absolutely laying the smack down on Nebraska It's good to see that Solich was the problem...................
Slayer 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2004 How the hell does a game with two unranked Pac-10 teams get considered for national airing Web updates show KSU has come back and leads 21-
Bored 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2004 Because FSN's deal is with the Pac-10 and Big 12. Neither Kansas or Kansas State are ranked either and UCLA is better than both of them this year. Texas Tech 63, Nebraska 10 with still over eight minutes to go. I can't wait for the Trev Alberts rant. Make that 70-10. Tech has scored 49 in the second half. therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2004 Good Lord the Big XII North is horrible. Nebraska got 70 put on it, KSU lost to Kansas, and Colorado got blown out.

Slayer 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2004 KSU-Kansas is over? Stupid scores not updating Argh, I'll never hear the end of this from the KU fans... even though this will inject some new blood into a long dead rivalry (KU's last win came in '92) Also I can take solace in the fact that Nebraska lost by SIXTY points.... Damn that sounds good
Guest GreatOne Report post Posted October 10, 2004 They didn't lose BY 70 but it might as well have been.

cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2004 Man, here in Louisville we got the Wisconsin/Ohio St. game instead of Cal/USC. Yeah I know OSU is much closer to KY but no one here gives two shits about them, if anything they are actively disliked. I did see some that Texas/OU game and that was flat out horrible. Yeah I know the defense was good but both teams just looked inept out there. OU won due to Jason White not being quite as bad as Vince Young. Around here we're stoked for the Thursday game (U of L vs. Miami). I'm not going to predict upset but I do think we can make a game of it.

Around here we're stoked for the Thursday game (U of L vs. Miami). I'm not going to predict upset but I do think we can make a game of it. Are you trying to say Jason White is a bad QB? Because if you are....you're not very smart. And OU won thanks to great defense and Adrian Peterson. But since they're like a board enemy or something they can't do anything right. Even shutting out the #5 team in the country means nothing. Hell if we were to make it to the Orange Bowl and blow our opponent out people would still find a way to say we suck and are undeserving. They did it in 2000. Oh and GreatOne......SC DID have a bad conference last year. Though it appears to be looking up this year. Oh and btw we play in the Big XII South....which is doing just fine. Thus making it tougher still. SC plays VT, Cal, and ND. We play Texas, OSU, and A&M(at home which is tough no matter who you are) so they're going about the same on SOS. Though the Big XII is still tough for the teams that play in it. They just spend the entire season beating on one another. Kind of like the SEC but not as good. Kind of like the SEC but not as good. True dat. The problem is that the Big 12 North went into the shitter while the Big 12 South got stacked with Oklahoma, Texas, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, and a resurgent Texas A&M. I don't think ANYTHING could help Baylor, though. The Big 12 North is going to need some serious rebuilding. Colorado is a national joke right now and will assuredly go on NCAA probation within the next 2 years. K-State is backsliding after years of gains. Nebraska is not adjusting well under Calahan, although I'd give it another year minimum.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2004 I'm still boggled as to why Frank Solich was fired....I mean it makes no sense! He only lost 3 games! Callahan has lost 2 so far! Probably going to lose 4 or 5!
teke184 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2004 I'm still boggled as to why Frank Solich was fired....I mean it makes no sense! He only lost 3 games! Callahan has lost 2 so far! Probably going to lose 4 or 5! Stolich was fired ostensibly because Nebraska, like Alabama, Auburn, and other "elite" football schools, expects to be in the title hunt every year. Realistically, though, I'd say he was fired because he wasn't Tom Osborne. AFAIK, the Nebraska administration wasn't particularly happy that Stolich was Osborne's chosen successor so they were doing whatever they could to push him out the door. It still remains to be seen how a few years of Callahan will affect Nebraska's storied program but my guess is that they become and also-ran in the Big 12 North, winning enough to be bowl-eligible each year but not in contention for the Big 12 title.
