Who got a better Insta Push

Recommended Posts

Both Zues and the Black Scorpion were brought in due to babyface champions having limited options at having big time fueds (Sting due to WCW's ineptness and Hogan cause he beat everyone possible in his 1st reign other than Bad News, Perfect, Warrior, Rude and 3/4 of those guys were still at a IC level)

Zues showed on SNME and beat Hogan down sparking a 7 month fued (8 if you count NHB The Match, The Movie airing in December)

Scorpion showed up and played magic tricks while hinting at being someone much more relevant

Zues' big blowoff was either being DQ'd at SSeries or The cage match however you chose to look at it

Scorpion's big blowoff was turning out to be Ric Flair (replacing Al Perez)

Neither set the box office on fire, neither stayed around as a long term player, both headlined PPV's

So who got the better insta push?

I'm not sure if you worded that wrong or not. Al Perez wasn't suppose to be the real Scorpion. He was simply used as a "OMG! He's the Scorpion...wait, he's not! Hence, Clash of the Champions XII when sting beat the "Scorpion" (Al Perez) and the real one came down the ramp looking like one of those fortune tellers in Mario RPG for SNES.

I'd say though, that the Black Scorpion push was better, only because it had a chance to be good, but was dragged on for too long and had a weak blowoff of who it actually was. Zeus outright sucked, Hogan admited it, Vince probably admited it every night in his sleep dreaming of stupid things to do, and all the fans knew it.
