Wrestlers you hate but everyone likes...

Ok so what are wrestlers that you hate that everyone likes. You just sit there and can think of no reason why they like this guy!?

For me it would be D-Lo Brown...I hate that guy. His stupid head bob annoys me like none other and his dumbass facial expressions.

Also I hate Justin Credible and Tommy Dreamer. But everyone seems to be up on their nuts.

Hulk Hogan.  Aside from Cobainwasmurdered, I can't remember anyone who's actually admitted to hating Hogan.  I hate the man, as I always have, and will continue to do so until he jobs the WWF Title to someone who is much more deserving (Angle, Jericho, Austin, coughcough), and until he retires PERMANENTLY......

I can admit to hating Hogan ever since I was a kid. I watched the NWA for 3 years before I saw my first WWF event and I always viewed Hogan as a joke.

 

Wrestlers I hate that others like:

 

Tommy Dreamer- I hate pointless garbage wrestling and for the last 5 or 6 years, that's all Tommy has done.

 

Justin Credible- This guy blew ass as ECW Champion and Paul E. kept the belt on him for 9 months... No wonder I gave up on them in 2000.

 

Trish Stratus- Sure, she's improved a lot since 2000, but she's still a wannabe, albeit one that's more talented than Lita.

 

Scott Steiner- Yeah, he was good about 10 years ago, but he's a broken down, marble-mouthed joke now. It's painful watching this guy attempt to wrestle again after he started popping roids like candy.

 

RVD- He epitomizes pointless flip-flop. I didn't like him in ECW and I don't like him now(although I can admit that he's gotten a lil bit better because of the WWF reigining in his pointless highspots).

William Regal. He's golden on the mic, but I am bored out of my mind the minute they put him in a wrestling match. It's nice that he had this awesome match with Benoit a couple years back and he had all these great matches all over the world.

 

But all I see on tv is some really slow guy that moves at a pace that makes Big Show look fast and puts on one medicore match after another. If he's such a style clash with everyone then why doesn't he do something about it by adapting a little to the WWF style.

 

They should just make him the manager of one of these big guys that has no charisma and let him do all the talking.

Edge -- I just don't see what's so cool about him. He always looks like he's confused in the ring. He's just got this gangly look that I hate as well.

Chris Jericho: The man doesn't have a persona. He's a carbon copy of a generic heel and there is nothing  that he does that makes me hate his character. Having a persona goes hand in hand with being a great worker. That's another thing, his offense is unconvincing and he is not the guy who can drag great matches out of so-so workers. I just don't see why people get a hard on for this guy. Angle is better on the mic and a better worker and deserves the opprotunity that this guy is getting right now.

 

Shawn Michaels: He was a great worker, and had a good persona, but I never could stand him. Personal thing I guess.

 

I don't really hate any wrestler in the wwf, but the verbal blowjobs Jericho gets perplex me.

Well...most obvious is Hogan...hated him since Rumble 92 when he robbed Sid. My friend actually hung the phone up on me back when I was 11 or 12 cuz I was talking shit about Hogan.

 

Also, I really doubt anybody likes him that much, but Lex Luger. Not from a workrate standpoint, since I really don't pay attention to that, but I just never could stand that man...well, except when he was in the Allied Powers, just cuz I liked Bulldog.

 

Besides that, nobody.

Kevin Nash - I know not too many people like him, but I just really don't like him. He is slow as fuck, and isn't all that good on the mic. Waste of money by McMahon..

Justin Credible - I could never see what the big deal about this guy was.  I did not care much for him the Impact Players.  I hated him as ECW champion.  I hated him in X-Factor, of course, it's X-Factor, so you know...it sucked anyway.  I enjoyed him a bit when he and Raven teamed on Heat a few times, I felt they had good chemistry, but, otherwise, I just never really liked him.  

 

Hulk Hogan - I do not hate him, I just do not care about him at all.  I do not see why everyone suddenly went crazy for him all of a sudden.

If we're talking currently then I'd say Stone Cold.  His last three PPV efforts have been a disgrace (far worse than HHH who gets crucified because he's not getting above ***) and i can't remember a decent match he's had since his face turn.  Last year he was the man, but this year he's become dull and repetitive on the mic and a slug in the ring.  Plus his girly foot-stamping fit when he didn't get his own way was pathetic- but that's OK round here because 12 months ago he had a great match with Benoit...

 

Also, although he's had some fantastic matches, Bret Hart always struck me as a pink tighted, whiney, little bitch.

I think Austin is generally disillusioned by the crap of the WWF. He has had some good matches with Angle since his face turn.

Lita and the Hardyz.

 

They're pretty much the only wrestlers who I really dislike and wish they'd get off my tv. I enjoyed them back in '98 - '99, when they first started coming up, but these days...ugh. The last time I felt things turning around slightly was when Matt was teasing the heel turn and both him and Jeff were actually showing some level of personality and the things which drive them. But then WWF just had to put them back together.

 

As for their ringwork, it's boring as fuck and nothing is different, with the result being the paint-by-numbers match every week, with the occasional TLC thrown in, but nothing in those types of matches seem new either. As I said in the NHB folder, the only new thing I recall within the last year is Matt's new move.

 

As for Lita, sometimes she can be hot, and that's all well and good. But she's deteriorated so much from when she first debuted with Essa Rios. Her matches are complete shit, and I simply wish she'd stay away from the ring, with the only occasional appearance being for valet purposes.

 

Also, decide on a damn gimmick. What are you supposed to be anyway? Ravers? Goths? Rockers? And those glow in the dark jackets completely piss me off. Instead of the WWF giving them something new to dance around in, maybe they should be concentrating on injecting some new life into the team with an actual storyline where their characters can be developed or something....

William Regal-He's a funny character, but I can't see what others see in this guy as far as wrestling goes.  He wrestles TOO slow and has a style that hasn't really evolved, except for that painful-looking half-nelson suplex he does now.

 

Justin Credible-aka Aldo Montoya.  There's your answer, yet there are still people on the internet who like him as a wrestler.  Why?  Because he ripped off Raven somewhat in ECW?  He's not very good in the ring, though he had a surprisingly good match with Tommy Dreamer(a wrestler who can actually be respected, but not good in the ring either) on Heat.

 

Scott Steiner-He used to be good, now people are like "Bring Steiner to the WWF".  He's a backstage cancer, slow-moving in the ring, and his mic skills sound like a little kid trying to squeal.

Rob Van Dam.  Hate may be too strong a word, and he has improved in recent months, but he's still overrated. Too much of his offense is still random spots.  Look at his match at Backlash: there are those who would complain that RVD was basically squashed by Guerrero, but in the offensive portion he did have, all he did was his signature stuff, like Rolling Thunder, etc. I mean, Planet Stasiak used more psychology when he was truly squashed by the Big Show on Raw a couple of weeks back (he worked on Show's leg for a couple of seconds before Show ran through his usual).  That said, there is one (1) thing I hate about RVD: you know that one thing he does, where he has the guy in the corner and he repeatedly rams his shoulder into him? You know that flip he does before the last ram? I fucking hate that flip. Talk about pointless.

 

Oh yeah, I also have extreme dislike for Hogan, for reasons stated by others several times over.

I Can't STAND Hogan, I feel he's one of the main reasons for the rapid decline and eventual demise of WCW, why so many love his tired, old act...

 I am also SICK of Undertaker.  His mic skills SUCK!!! No wonder he had that stupid gimmick before.  He STILL is one of the WORST at selling, and it's not even part of his freaken gimmick! He's not an undead, zombie, or whatever childish character that was.  Now, he's supposed to be a biker guy??? Um...I don't think so...

 Big Bossman- Who is this man blowing? Why is he any where near the WWF? At least he hasn't been seen in a while...

 Mark Henry- Big, FAT lug.  So he's strong.  So WHAT???

let him get reaquainted with "Sammy" and get custody of the  hand that he fathered, and get him OFF my TV...

 Big Show- Why did he come back from OVW??? He sure found that weight he supposedly lost in a damn hurry.  He can be funny, but it will never make up for his terrible ring skills.

 The Wall- Thank you WWF, for not picking this lumbersack of shit up, Wrestlecrap at it's finest...

 Lex Luger- GAWD, The F'ing Narcissist, ugh, it's almost a shame the new viewers never got to see this juiced up, Frankenstein moving, monotonous crap bag of a "wrestler".  They would appreciate some of the crappier guys nowdays..

 Kevin Nash- Big poochie, aka Big daddy bitch, aka Big gassed out "You know" saying, likes to rub his crotch while going over the top rope, 4-moveset, power-tripping, backstage stabbing, etc....

Of course, there are others, but I am only going back so far, and maybe there is one or two who are crazy enough to still like these guys, but I can only type so much, and the server can only hold so much...

I once read that Bossman was the one WWF wrestler who would never be fired. Or something along those lines. Apparently he's a real legit nice guy. Charity and all that jazz. Regardless, I think his time has past & he should be working more behind the scenes in some sort of road agent role or as some sort of trainer.

 

Though, for some reason I can see him taking the *shudder* role of on-air Commissioner one day.

I like Edge and The Rock (will always boo him when he locks on the sharpshooter, though), and there are a number of former ECW guys such as Dudleys, Dreamer, Raven, and RVD that I will always like because of the ECW memories. And I'm a big Mutoh mark (if you noticed) even though lots of puro fans shit on him.

    I'll never hate UT even if his promos and matches largely suck now becuase back in the day he was an awesome big man, and a pretty damn good character.

    I like Norton quite a bit, and Scott Steiner. Steiner's sort of half and half w/ the smark populace, but Norton is generally hated. I like HHH, even though he ain't half the man he used to be at the present. Even though I had a lengthy post ( I think under the 'a mark noticed today' header) about why his character is really dull now.

    Rude was my favorite wrestler for a long, long time, and I think many people are largely ambivalent to him.

Um, I don't think there's many wrestlers I hate that others love. I'm ambivalent to a couple cruisers like juvi and Psychosis that everyone loves. The closest that would come I think is Regal, but I love his character to death, and think he's just hampered by the 'WWF style" since I saw some sweet matches with him when he was a tub, but givem more time in WCW. Gosh, I guess I'm just that negative. now to post that last reply in the right thread....

I utterly loathe him as a human being (and I'm not the only one, as apparently even his Cliq buddies can't stand him now), and as a worker, I acknowledge his greatness while simultaneously stating that he is overrated.  Great worker?  Yes.  One of the best in the WWF?  In his time, of course.  Best worker ever, in the WWF or otherwise?  Don't make me laugh.

 

HHH is slowly creeping up too.  Right now, I just strongly dislike him, but he's a hair away from full blown hate on my part.  Another month or two of him stinking up the ring, coupled with rumors of him holding someone down, and he'll be right up there with HBK.
