PNY cannot withstand extreme heat in my car stereo, it went bad after 2 days of 100 degree heat. Guest Report post Posted May 3, 2002 dude, I have always bought the cheapest ones I could find, since, hmm.... like 97 I guess I got my first burner. I never had problems, and i've burned probably every type of media onto the cheapies that you can. I have tested that, and found the black ones similar to PS CD's are the most sensitive. i personally use Vivastar, they are plain white on one side and blue/green on the other. and burn @ 40x just fine. they my not be the cheapest but you pay for what you get. Guest swan Report post Posted May 9, 2002 I honestly buy whatever is cheapest when I need a new spindle. I don't think I have ever bought the same brand more then twice. I usually like the ones that provide an area to write on since I don't find making my labels fun anymore. I understand your concern about the heat but I would never store a CD wheter it was one from my music store or one I burned myself in a hot car.
