Guest goodhelmet Posted May 4, 2002 Report Posted May 4, 2002 Man, the Celtics just ripped the 76ers a new asshole. The game was fairly tight til the end of the 3rd quarter. Then Paul Peirce decided he wanted to score 46. Damn!!! Go Celtics!
Guest What?! Posted May 4, 2002 Report Posted May 4, 2002 Their shooting was just ridiculous!!!! I know people knock on their "Live by the three, die by the three" style, but tonight's game is the reason why they keep on doing it.

Guest El Satanico Posted May 4, 2002 Report Posted May 4, 2002 I think Paul Pierce summoned Larry Bird's spirit tonight(yes i know he's not dead).
Guest The Electrifyer Posted May 4, 2002 Report Posted May 4, 2002 Celtics shocked me this year. I did not see this complete turn-around from last year coming at all. I think we're gonna see another Celtics/Lakers clash in the finals this year.
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted May 4, 2002 Report Posted May 4, 2002 You had to know that the Celtics would win. Anyone who watched the intorduction of the lineups had to know the Celtics would win. I'm not a Celtics fan, but playing the classic calls by the commentator was sureal (until they pulled out that damn Limp Bizkit song). The only way I saw the Celtics losing was if they were too aggressive (forcing shots and committing fouls).
Guest mw679 Posted May 4, 2002 Report Posted May 4, 2002 Oh man, what a great feeling it is today! I've been a Celtics fan since 1986(I was 7 y/o) the last time they won a championship. Since then, it's been a long and frustrating time, especially those ML Carr years and the frigging Pitino era(what a fucking mistake that was...)but when you look at it, I think it helped the C's become a better team. Even though the 3 pointers get to be a little too much sometimes(Toine, I'm talkin to you!) you gotta admit, they surprised the hell out of a lot of people and of course, now all the bandwagoners will be slipping out of the woodwork. Hey, I'm just glad that The Truth showed everybody why he should be considered one of the best players today, hopefully the momentum will carry over to Detroit.
Guest Posted May 4, 2002 Report Posted May 4, 2002 YES! My hometown basketball team is finnally doing good. Now only if the Bruins weren't eliminated...
Guest Some Guy Posted May 4, 2002 Report Posted May 4, 2002 Pats won the Superbowl, Celts advanced, Bruins made the playoffs, the Sox have the best record in MLB. It's a good time to live in "WinnersVille~!"
