Guest macheteofodin Report post Posted October 24, 2004 Here are the results as posted by Llakor on the IWS Message Board: I give full permission for soemone to post this on any other board, hell I encourage you to, but I just finished storing the ring and I'm beat so it's not going to be me. After running out of chairs last month, we bought fifty extra this month and needed them all which was very encouraging. The crowd was super-hot and also very inventive in terms of chanting. Show started with Kevin gloating in the ring about his new stardom outside of Canada. Fred came to the ring and told Kevin that when Kevin left Canada he didn't represent the IWS or Quebec because he only represented himself. Kevin told Fred that he was a clown and that only the best wrestler in Quebec could be the IWS heavyweight champion... At which point, Fred gave Kevin a ballshot using his Quebec flag. 1. 2.0 vs. Hell Storm and Nightmare Manson 2.0 who have had difficulty connecting with the fans in the IWS brought the fans to their feet and kept them there. The team of Manson and Hell Storm started out a little suspicious of one another, but got stronger as the match went-on. 2.0 ended up needing a table on the outside to keep Manson & Storm down and out while the ref counted them out. Winner 2.0 (by count-out) 11:45 2. Dan Paysan vs. El Generico A tremendous contest. It appeared that Dan had El Generico very well scouted continually foiling El Generico's favourite attacks. Tomassino was invaluable to Dan on the outside, saving Dan and attacking El Generico on several occasions. The crowd was chanting for the BrainBuster an eventually got a vicious Super Brain Buster. El Generico hit a 450 splash for the win at 15:12. Winner El Generico 3. Beef vs. Franky Franky started the match by attacking Beef's fanny pack. In an amazing moment, Franky did a Suicide Tope barely a minute into the match. Beef worked Franky's ass to set-up the ass punch and came *this* close to beating Franky, but Franky proved just too strong for Beef to handle. After the match, Franky brought a chair to the ring to do even more damage to Beef, but Beef stole Franky's chair. When Franky covered his head for the chair shot, Beef chair shot Franky... on the ass. Franky attacked referee Peanut in frustration Winner Franky the Mobster (11:49) 4. Kid Kamikaze and EXesS Double K and XS put on a wrestling clinic. The crowd was muted for this match, but personally, I enjoyed the hell out of it. XS and KK did stuff that I have never seen before and it was a match that wouldn't have been out of place in Japan... XS beat KK by twisting him like a pretzel and forcing his shoulders to the mat. Aftee the match, the Evil Ninja attacked XS at the prompting of Commissioner Joey. When KK tried to thank the Ninja, Double K got clobbered by the Ninja in turn. Winner EXcesS (13:01) 5. Flying Hurricanes & SLI The two teams just beat the living hell out of each other. Winner Flying Hurricanes (14:14) 6. PCO vs Kurt Lauderdale Despite blowing his knee out about 3 minutes into this match, Kurt Lauderdale fought PCO to a stand still, but with only one good wheel, Kurt found himself in big trouble finally getting pinned by PCO Winner PCO (15:23) Eddy came out to shoot on Trent Acid and apologize to D-Vyn for being mean to her the month before. Eddy was in fact just about to give pointers on how best to make things up to a woman while on your knees when Commissioner FitzMorris broke into the ring and chewed out Eddy for talking about things that should stay in the locker room. 7. Fred vs. Kevin Steen Fred's best match period. Fred made every person in Unison believe that he could beat Kevin Steen and he was going to. When Fred hit his pedigree and Kevin *just* got his shoulder up at the last millisecond, the entire bar groaned in sympathy for Fred. Elsa Bangz nearly gave the match to Fred in an amazing sequence. (and ended up eating a package piledrier in retaliation from Kevin.) Ultimately, Damian came to the ring and shocked everyone by turning on Fred. After Kevin pinned Fred, Damian grabbed the mike and cursed Fred out for getting his hopes up that they could make a difference and that Quebec would have its sovereignty. Winner: Kevin Steen (19:45) My thoughts also as posted on the IWS message board (edited to account for some not knowing who or what I'm talking about): Great motherfucking show, motherfuckers. The bloodmark in me was crying, but the wrestling fan in me was overjoyed (and the kid in me is suicidal over how much of a fat bastard I'll become). Not sure why, but I wasn't really feeling the opening match. It wasn't bad, I just needed to get warmed up I guess. I always mark for Jesus though. Paysan vs. Generico was excellent. The BRAINBUSTAAA~! from the top rope to the fucking mat made me almost shit myself. I definitely thought Paysan's neck was broken. Beef vs. Franky was a damn good match. Working on the ass is very over and the invisible ass punch fucking ruled. As Llakor said, the crowd was pretty quite for Kid Kamikaze vs. Excess, but I too enjoyed it. Very good tech match in my opinion. I guess it's a matter of taste though. Hurricanes vs. SLI was very good as normal with these two teams. I can't say anything that I haven't said previously. Oh...Hurricanes singing Happy Birthday to a fan was fucking priceless. PCO vs. Lauderdale was pretty damn good. I marked for the leg work (damn it, that's too smarky for me to type). So stiff and violent. FUN~! Fred vs. Steen was AMAZING. Match of the Show in my opinion. So much happened and some was out of my viewing area, but what I saw I absolutely loved. Damian's turn and Elsa getting the Package Piledriver were nuts. The fucking Ohtani kicks from Damian to Fred were probably the most brutal one's I've seen in over a year. Great match/post match stuff. Came together wonderfully. Having the Commish sitting with us the whole show was great. Especially during KK vs. XS. The homoeroticism was intense. Arise getting a good pimping from Guppie the Great (that's what I'm calling him now) was awesome (PM me if you want more information about Arise). Definitely pick this up when SMV puts it out. Awesome show.
