Bravo's 100 Scariest Movie Moments

Recommended Posts

I like the fact that people are using the fact that a movie scared them as a kid to justify that it's a scary movie. Scaring children is easy; it's when normal adults are afraid of a movie does it deserve to be called a scary movie.

Thus, the Wizard of Oz should NOT be considered a scary movie.

Wow...Alien was #2 and Jaws was #1, that's alittle surprising.

Well, considering #2 made me pray to God that the stomach ache I had wasn't an alien inside me when I first saw it at the age of 6, and #1 made people avoid going to the beach for the longest time, especially since the original novel was very loosely inspired on true events...yeah. I can see that.

Let's face it, there's real reason for either 3 or 4 NOT to be the top moment.

I'd omit some, use different moments from movies (Deadite Scotty waking up at the end is the scarriest moment in Evil Dead by far), and maybe change the order a bit, but mostly this was a pretty great list. It's WAY better than those shitty lists E, VH1 and MTV do

It's a good list, I think they just fucked up the top five BIG TIME. I mean for Christ sakes, there were people who were literally afraid to shower for years after that movie, and it can't break the top two?
