Favorite/best sitcoms

Recommended Posts

Guest Flyboy

From the thread of saying Seinfeid was the best sitcome, I made a topic for your favorite/best sitcoms.  Please no animated.  :-d  I can create another topic for that.

In order for me:

1.  Fraiser (I love the show, and David Hyde Pierce is a comedic god on the show)

2.  Wings (Loved the show.. very funny)

3.  That 70's Show

4.  Cheers

5.  Coach

6.  Growing Pains

Eh... that's all can think of now.  And, yes.. my tastes are a bit weird.  :P

I'm not much of a sitcom fan at all but I watch every episode of the Simpsons religiously. Not only did I grow up on it but I still find it hilarious now I'm grown.

I also love South Park. Immature, but oh well.

I was at Wal*Mart yesterday and saw a DVD called "The Lost Episodes of I Love Lucy" for $5.88.  I never really got into the show, but I figured I would mention this for Mark4Steamboat.

I can't believe I left MWC off my list.  I guess I forgot about it because I haven't watched it in a while.  It is on at 1AM in NY.

Black Adder = Fourth series was brilliant, especially the last episode which is a classic piece of television.

The Simpsons

Father Ted

Red Dwarf = Last two series have been poor but most sitcoms decline in quality eventually if they run for a long time.

Ah, Red Dwarf. I remember Red Dwarf. Red Dwarf was good. If I knew what channel Red Dwarf was on, I'd watch Red Dwarf.

Friends (no, really) is about the only other sitcom I watch regularly (rerun or otherwise) anymore aside from the Simpsons.  I'm much more into sketch comedy and improv than straight sitcoms...

Favorite sitcoms:

Wayans Brothers:  A lot of people proably do not like this show, but most of you who don't, are proably white kids from canada, it is one of those shows that is directed towards a specific audience, so I can understand why you might not like it, but I always thought it was funny as hell, pops alone make this show watchable.

Wayans Brothers

Too bad it had the worst members of the Wayans family. Marlon and Shawn are terrible and not very funny.

There's a reason that neither had big roles on In Living Colour even during the last few lackluster seasons of it.

4. Roseanne

5. Wonder Years

If animated ones are included, Simpsons would be on there in the #2 spot.
