Uk ppv insurrextion thoughts

I watched the show on PPV not bad really. Detailed results are at http://wrestlerevolt.cjb.net.....insane crowd heat, Taker/HHH was good despite the ring almost falling apart. Obviously no title changes or advancement in angles. Eddy/RVD stole the show.

It'd be nice to see the RVD/Eddy match replayed on Excess next weekend (even though I don't ever watch Excess). But wait... this is the WWF!  Workrate comes fourth after ATTITUDE, DESIRE, and INTENSITY!  They will probably play clips of Mark Henry's feats of strength...

Apparently HHH wanted to "get away from his father in law" and decided to join the UK tour.

I was there live and i enjoyed the show. Big Show/Austin was a lot better than i expected. Lesner looks bigger in person. Best match was RVD/Eddy and Booker/Richards was good as well.

Loudest pops were

1 - Austin

2 - HHH

3 - Booker T

He's not.  I saw Brock in Ottawa back in March.  He is much bigger in person.

It was the same phenomenon for Ahmed Johnson. I saw the WWF live front row in 1998 I think and Ahmed was just, wow...huge.

I also saw Brock on the first RAW after the "split." He's big, but not any type of phenomena. BUT, I've been going to wrestling events live since I was 10. I'm almost 27 now, and I've seen everyone from Andre, Hogan, Sid, Warrior, LOD, Warlord, Rude, Spivey, Taker, Big Show, Kane, Triple H (2001/2002) etc, etc.

I don't really like to comment on Brock Lesnar too much, because I haven't seen him do anything great yet. He's strong as Hell, but I'm yet to see any good wrestling out of him.

I hope Insurrextion gets Vince's desire for an Austin-Big Show match on a PPV out of his system, because I'd rather not see Austin on Judgement Day than have him there facing the Big Show. Maybe they can have him simply cut a promo like Jericho did at Backlash. Austin had such a great year in 2001, and I don't want to see his unmotivated streak go three PPVs in a row.

I thought the Austin/Show match from the Uk PPV was not bad at all, much better than I thought it would be though the hot crowd sure did help out. I think a similar match at Judgment Day would not be bad at all.

RVD/Eddy went nearly 20 minutes?

What does the WWF want?  Good wrestling?  Who booked that?  Put them on Smackdown and Raw!

If someone was there can they confirm whether it was a squash by Eddy or was it back and forth having RVD use physchology in his match?  Or did he just blow his load of moves in the first five minutes?

*snort* I find it hilarious that Bradshaw jobbed to "the Main Eventer" X-Pac. *snicker*

As for the Hardcore match, I thought that they wanted to bring more "prestige" to that title? All of these retarded 2-second title changes are fucking lame and tired... good god.

Hi,

I was there live. It was a back and forth match with most of RVD's moves coming early on. That said, there was no Van Daminator, Rolling Thunder came mid-way through the match, and the Frog Splash didn't connect till after the match was over (when Eddie was DQ'ed.)

RVD did try to work some psychology, but even though I think he's a great talent to watch in the ring, he needs to work on it a bit more.

By far the best match on the card, but probably only **3/4 to ***.

Andy
