Guest Some Guy Report post Posted May 6, 2002 The Fantastic Four: I'd watch it The Hulk: I'd watch it Silver Surfer: I wouldn't watch it Iron Machine: Don't know who this is Submariner: Ghey character Ghost Rider: Don't know much about him Daredevil (Smith involved): I'd watch because I am a man without fear Black Cat (Smith involved): Never herad of it Green Arrow (Smith involved): Ghey cahracter Plus... Spiderman 2 (Smith involved) Spiderman 3 X-Men 2 I'd watch all three of those. What I really want is new Batman and Superman movies, I wasn't much of a Marvel fan back when i collected Comics in 93-95ish
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Report post Posted May 6, 2002 Submariner: Ghey character This movie could be good if done right. Remember that Namor or Submariner is the king of Atlantis. Iron Machine: Don't know who this is I'm assuming this is Iron Man, a character who is a rich entrepeneur with a mech-type suit. Ghost Rider: Don't know much about him He's a guy who is possesed with a demon that is the spirit of vengeance. When he transforms into the spirit of vengeance, his head is a flaming skull, and he has a motorcycle with flaming wheels I think. He's one of the most popular characters that Marvel has had. Quite frankly, I'm surprised they haven't been talking up any Wolverine movies.
Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted May 6, 2002 What about an Aquaman movie. Rupert Evert could play the lead role.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted May 6, 2002 How many people do you think will go to the Black Cat, Iron Machine, Submariner, and the Silver Surfer movies? See i think you're assuming that most of the people that go to these movies are either fans of or know of the subject. That's not always correct. I'd say that a large percent of the 114 mill that Spiderman made were people who had never heard of spiderman up until the movie. It doesn't really matter what the subject matter is. If the studio hypes it up enough almost any action movie will do good business regardless of the subject. However with that being said i don't think they should do movies on second rate superheroes. Time spent on stuff like Black Cat, Submariner and Silver Surfer would be better spent on better characters. I didn't include Iron Machine since everyone here has said it is most likely Iron Man which i wouldn't mind them making.
Guest RetroRob215 Report post Posted May 6, 2002 You guys were right, it was Iron Man, I miscopied the article. I don't know where I got Iron Machine from, I never read any comic books with him.
Guest Report post Posted May 6, 2002 There was an Iron Man hybrid character called War Machine. Maybe you got them confused. As for The Hulk, I read that no actor will actually play Hulk, the character will be comprised completely of CGI, because there isn't any actor big enough to accurately look the part. I hope they make it look convincing.
Guest RetroRob215 Report post Posted May 6, 2002 IMDB has links to some trailers if you want to check them out.
Guest muzanisa Report post Posted May 7, 2002 This happened before. In the intro of the new Marshall Law TPB it describes how they were going to make a movie but Batman three and Judge Dredd both didn't make any money so pretty much all super hero movies were canned. X-Men and Spiderman made money so expect many movies of varying quality based on superheroes.
Guest the 1inch punch Report post Posted May 7, 2002 Eric Bana (black hawk down)'s face is gonna b digaitally stuck onto the hulk, and he will play Bruce Banner, Nick Nolte and Jennifer Connelly are also in it
Guest Report post Posted May 8, 2002 The Fantastic Four- May be a good movie, but would really need good actors and good director. The Hulk- Didn't want to see this movie until I saw the trailer. Too bad its the green hulk and not the bad ass grey hulk. Silver Surfer- Stupid Stupid Stupid Iron Man- Could be pretty good, just needs a good Tony Stark. Submariner- Why? Barely cared for him in comics, and probably 99% of the people dont know him. Aguaman is way cooler too. Ghost Rider- Sounds great. Daredevil- One of my fav. superheros with a good actor, with good supporting cast and a realistic approach to superheros? I'm There! Black Cat (Smith involved)- Stupid. Green Arrow (Smith involved)- Why Green Arrow? Green Lantern Is Way cooler.
Guest Report post Posted May 8, 2002 I'd say that a large percent of the 114 mill that Spiderman made were people who had never heard of spiderman up until the movie. Are you an idiot? Everyone knows who spiderman is. My grandmother knows who spiderman is. Now, if you said a large percent have never opened a spidey comic until the movie, I would agree. Guest Ravenbomb Report post Posted May 8, 2002 Spider-man was a comic? My...my God...all these years...ALL MY LIFE HAS BEEN A LIE!!!! STEEEEEELLAAAAAA!!! I mean... SPIDER-MAAAAAAAAAAN!!! What's neXt? Was Spawn a comic book? What about Captain America?
Guest RetroRob215 Report post Posted May 8, 2002 Yes, Spawn was also a comic. Captain America on the other hand was a variation of the Cap'n Crunch cereal. They would only release around US holidays because the crunchies were all red, white, and blue. They stopped making it in the 70's when it was discovered that the dye used in the white crunchies caused impotence in 30% of the people who ate it, all of which were ironically over the age of 65.
