Guest Report post Posted May 4, 2002 Wrestling fans are evil. Seriously. I am evil. We are all evil. We take for granted what is handed to us on a plate 5 or more hours a week and expect to get everything that we want. But we don’t do we? No. The WWF does not have the patience it takes to cater to the casual fan…and definitely not to a smart fan. But sometimes the WWF can show that they care, though it hasn’t been done recently. I, on the other hand, can give the people, smart and mark alike, exactly what they want. The scene is King Of The Ring 2002, Brock has just absolutely destroyed Rob Van Dam in a pseudo-squash match that showed RVD getting in small bits of offense on his way to being left for dead by the Next Big Thing™. During the Main Event of Jericho vs. Trips vs. Hogan© the Undertaker comes down and tries to cost Hogan the match, but fails badly, Hogan wins and the fans cheer minimally as other chants are piped in. The next night, the Undertaker is quite pissed about Hogan winning and is interrupted by none other than Paul Bearer…who scolds the Undertaker viciously for all the biker crap and uses the power of the urn to draw Taker back into a waiting hearse. For two weeks leading into Summerslam, nobody sees the Undertaker or Paul. The Vengeance main event is set as Hogan defends against a freshly heel Austin, after he attacked Hogan viciously on the same night of Taker’s disappearance. As Austin as Hogan beat, the lights go out…”Graveyard Symphony” plays and the Phenom…the Undertaker returns and the crowd blows the roof off the place. He takes out Austin leading to a DQ win for Austin, and Hogan keeps the belt. RAW after Vengeance, Undertaker and Paul immediately are in the ring and UT says that he saved Hogan’s title, and demands a rematch from Judgment Day. Hogan accepts and the mind games begin. For weeks Hogan and UT play around with the other and interfere in each others matches, both keeping strong face pops throughout. Summerslam arrives and everyone can’t wait to see Hogan vs. the Undertaker. After going totally oldschool and tombstoning Hogan TWICE…Undertaker is the new world champ and the crowd is going crazy once more. The Undertaker keeps his title through the next two PPVs, beating off Austin at No Mercy and Triple H at Unforgiven in a very high quality rematch of there Last Man Standing match. During this time Brock has built himself up to an unstoppable force, and finally Paul Heyman demands that his man is given a World Title shot, and Undertaker agrees because he fears no man. The next week on RAW is Brock/Jericho vs. Taker/Kane as Kane is now unmasked and freshly returning from his bicep injury a few weeks prior. Brock and Jericho win after Brock pins Kane following a vicious powerbomb. Heyman declares that the Undertaker is the next one to fall to the Next Big Thing™. With one week remaining Paul Bearer gets a devilish idea and requests that the Survivor Series match be a casket match. Heyman easily accepts for Brock. Brock and Taker are both built up to be unstoppable leading up to the match and during the match they both stay neck and neck though Brock looks to be really hurting Taker bad. Taker fights back though but after Lesnar hits a Shooting Star Press as the crowd actually CHEERS...Brock is able to put Taker in the casket and win the title, the crowd gives major heel heat to all 10 men as the push the casket down the aisle. The lights then die…and the Titantron lights to show Taker’s face… Taker: Do you hear those sounds…the sounds of the voices calling me back. It is now finally time that I rest…in….peace… The video goes negative and strobes as the lights go off again and it reveals the casket gone. Brock and Heyman are in shock and the crowd boos them out of the arena for destroying the Undertaker The next night Brock comes out to celebrate with Paul but is cut off by Triple H, challenging Brock for the title saying that he is going to destroy Brock just like he did Mick Foley…the last person that was able to manhandle the Undertaker like Brock did. Trips asks for a Hell In The Cell match at Armageddon. Brock and Heyman accept immediately and an intense feud begins. At Armageddon, Brock defeats Triple H after a double powerbomb on top of the cell and the fireman’s carry DDT in the center of the ring. Brock is a majorly over SuperHeel and Trips has been playing a good tweener role but plays face in the match. This could also lead to a Royal Rumble IC vs. World title match... which by this time would be RVD vs. Brock... and RVD would finally and permanantly break through the WWF glass ceiling... I believe with this strategy, at this for the world title, that even the most casual fan to the most smart fan gets what they want. The Undertaker gone, Brock Lesnar as an unbeatable monster, and a good storyline with continuity to keep people saying “hey…I remember that” If this were to all happen…I would be glued to my TV every Monday and Thursday to see exactly what would happen next. And I know that you would too! P.S. - I do think Brock should not have to lose until WMX9 next year to help make that lose for him HUGE...and I think he should lose the match and the world title to the Rock...even if the Rock only held the strap for a month or so before either losing it back to Brock or to some other main eventer... Guest muzanisa Report post Posted May 4, 2002 No that wouldn't make me happy.
Guest Report post Posted May 4, 2002 I pretty much expected that someone would do that... all I really wanted was a good way for the Undertaker for retire and have people actually be sad that he is gone rather than have parties break out... And yeah...I hate the Undertaker...but I would like to give him a good going away rather than just having him disappear or losing in a stinkfest retirement match to Austin or someone... maybe I was wrong about the Rock at WM...but I asked a few of my other friends and it was more their idea than mine... I couldn't think of anyone else off the top of my head...
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted May 4, 2002 another 7 months of boring Face HHH? Hogan holding the belt until August? Rotal Rumble 94 rip offs? The URN?! The Undertaker keeps his title through the next two PPVs, beating off Austin at No Mercy and Triple H at Unforgiven in a very high quality rematch of there Last Man Standing match What last man standing match. No, this isn't very good, but not horrible. And where the hell are Angle and Jericho through all this?
Guest muzanisa Report post Posted May 4, 2002 If you want a good send off for the Undertaker then going back to the Undead Undertaker is probably the best way to do it; except the character might look stupid now and I don't think UT wants to go yet. The way I see it He'd be better in the midcard and then when he decides to retire have his WM streak end to a midcarder who they're trying to elevate. Oh and Brock still hasn't really shown me that he's anything really special yet.

Guest Report post Posted May 4, 2002 Short and simple, Undertaker would look fuckin' ridiculous as the "Dead Man" character now.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Report post Posted May 4, 2002 i mean...you WANT to recreate one of the most infamous scenes in wwf history (undertaker's 'death' at Royal Rumble) are you insane?
Guest Haku Report post Posted May 4, 2002 And I am sorry but Brock Lesnar going over undertaker is like so totally not possible...though i like him going back to the dark but he needs his vintage long hair which would take years to grow back.

Guest Report post Posted May 5, 2002 Brock Lesnar needs to be pushed like a monster into the mid, maybe upper mid card. Then he needs to settle down for a while before being pushed again to the main event. Pushing guys fast rarely works and Lesnar is not so good that he'd be one of those exceptions. Guest Report post Posted May 5, 2002 well that didn't go over well... oh well... win some lose some... I thought my IC title one was better but it involved alot of Rhyno, RVD, and Eddy fueds...which I think could work once Rhyno is back to 100%... and my tag title idea...but that would make Goldust/Booker a viable threat to the titles...but then again...who else would be better for that on SD? Maybe Benoit/Storm once Benoit finished fueding with Angle... or even Jericho/Angle so it could give them both something to do without pissing HHH off...or even the old Jericho/Benoit deal again... but I'm tired of watching the same damn thing every week for no reason other than to say "didn't we already see this 3 times..." Wrestling is in a major decline...and I don't see it stopping unless a smark can find a way to get on the booking team and so the other writers how to go about making some interesting fueds that people would...oh...WATCH... Have A Nice Day!
