Which WWE releases will make an impact in TNA?

Gunn, Stamboli and Rico are the only guys I think TNA can use in an effective manner. MAYBE Rodney Mack could flourish in a smaller pond, but that's a crapshoot. Gunn is a natural fit, and due to his size, look, reputation and decent ability when protected in tag matches could be a good addition. "The Outlaws" (NAO is copyrighted I assume) v. AMW seems promising. Stamboli fits perfectly with the whole NYCs/Empire Saint picture, even though I find all of that quite boring. Rico has the most upside and he's the best bet for a breakout star. Drop the flamboyant gay routine and just let him use his charisma and work to get over and he'll be more successful than Jeff Hardy.

 

Agreed that A-Train will be a hot comodity in Japan once he recovers from his injury, he's tailor made for the MONSTER ARMY~!

After watching Johnny B.Badd today on Impact, they should bring Rico in and team him with Badd. They would make a kickass flamboyant tag team. Mero should grow his facial hair back though.

Rico is in his early-mid 40's believe it or not so I think that he would be less winded if he worked singles matches.

I'm aware of Rico's age, but seriously, he's the most talented of the bunch and has had the least exposure as well. Remember that DDP didn't become a star until WELL into his 40's....

Rico is a good wrestler, but he doesn't have a ton of recognition despite his WWE run, and really, what could TNA do with him other than stick him in a tag team? And it's not like TNA is really short on decent teams.

 

I think they should sign Billy Gunn ASAP...I hate the guy, but people would probably mark out for a NAO reunion. Only downside is that they probably couldn't call them the New Age Outlaws. Heck, they probably can't call him Billy Gunn either...
