Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted May 6, 2002 Alright, this may not be the worst season ever...but it's by far the worst in a decade. The Rock's two shows for example...2 years ago he did the first one, very funny, even if you take out the other WWF antics...the new one...god awful, not two funny moments on the show. How can a show go from decient to crap in two years...TIna Fey, head writer. Her brand of comedy is just not funny...the weekend update produces a couple of small laughs, but not near as many when McDonald did it. SNL has 3 bright spots...Will Ferrell (sp) as Bush...Hammond as Sean Connery...and most of Tracy Morgan's skits, his Brian Fellows is the funniest thing they have. When they're writing up the shows how can they put togteher the material and think "this is funny stuff"...it's just all filler and no killer... I mean how can an episode with Jack Black produce no laughs?! That's not normal.

Guest razazteca Report post Posted May 6, 2002 worst season ever has to be when Charles Rocket was doing the Weekend news or the Gilbert Godfrey & Damon Wayons season or when Jeanne Garoflo was on. 1986 had the whole cast fired, I think only Phil Hartman survived. Also the shows just after Conan O'Brian departure were very week, it had an average cast but weak writing.

Guest Report post Posted May 6, 2002 that tag shit is gay. Because Keith mad a joke of it does not mean you need to hang with it. The shit is old, get on with your life. Its just not funny anymore, just like SNL --Rob

Guest Report post Posted May 6, 2002 yes I am very negative when some stupid shit appears on my screen. But... if there is no stupid un necessary things said, I am fine. I think it's only moments are jeopardy and nick burns. --Rob
Guest converge241 Report post Posted May 6, 2002 This season hasnt been the best, but its not the worst, either. Tracy Morgan, Will Ferrell, Horatio Sanz, and Chris Kattan are almost always funny... I HATE all the women on the show..Ceri oteri was funny as was Garofolo.. but Dratch, Gastmeyer, Fey, and the new blonde woman? they all suck
Guest J*ingus Report post Posted May 6, 2002 IMHO, Celebrity Jeopardy and Ambiguously Gay Duo have been the only reasons to tune in to SNL over the past five years, except for the occasional interesting guest host, but then they even screw that up all too often. I mean, come on, how bad a show do you have to be to have Jackie F'n Chan as your host, and still not be funny?
Guest Mark4steamboat Report post Posted May 6, 2002 i think their musical guests suck now too. i mean they had POD the other week and that shitty "youth of the nation" has been out for like 2 months. and i has been overplayed for 2 months as well.

Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Report post Posted May 6, 2002 SNL has been sucking for a while now. I haven't watched it in years, so I don't know if this season is any worse than when I used to watch it. I find Mad TV funnier anway.
Guest RevEvil Report post Posted May 7, 2002 worst season ever has to be when Charles Rocket was doing the Weekend news or the Gilbert Godfrey & Damon Wayons season or when Jeanne Garoflo was on. 1986 had the whole cast fired, I think only Phil Hartman survived. Also the shows just after Conan O'Brian departure were very week, it had an average cast but weak writing. The 1980-81 season, which was the first one after Lorne Michaels left the show, had Charles Rocket and Gilbert Godfrey in the cast. This was considered the worst season ever, partly because this was the first season without any NRFPTPs in it.This cast couldn't take the pressure too well, so everyone was fired except Piscipo and Murphy. The 1985-86 season was Lorne Michaels' first season back in charge of SNL. The entire cast of the previous season (Billy Crystal, Martin Short,Christopher Guest...) had left for one reason or another, so Lorne brought in guys like Jon Lovitz, Anthony Michael Hall, Joan Cusack, and Robert Downey Jr. Damon Wayans was a featured player. This season was rather poor, so Lorne cut everyone except Lovitz, Nora Dunn, and Dennis Miller. Carvey, Hartman, Jan Hooks etc.... were brought in for the 1986-87 season. Guest RetroRob215 Report post Posted May 7, 2002 rob, are you a really negative person in real life or do you just play one on the net? OH, TAG!! Seriously, I think TAG is hillarious, not only because Keith used it, but also because of it's original context. In other words Rob, fuck off.
Guest Report post Posted May 7, 2002 dude, it was not that funny to begin with, yes it sounded pretty stupi but come on. It was never all that funny, and with people over using it, it has just become an annoyance. Guest Some Guy Report post Posted May 8, 2002 SO anyways.... Will Ferrel is leaving the show at the end of the season to go off and fail at whatever it is that he is planning on doing afterwards just like 99% of the rest of the cast members who quit. I don't really like SNL and haven't since Myers, Carvey, Nielan, Rock, Spade, ETC.. left. It hasn't really been consistantly funny since then. All of the new cast members are ghey. The only funny skits are the cheerleading ones IMO. Weekend update has sucked since they fired Norm for making OJ jokes.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Will Ferrel's one of the funniest guys on the show. He is one of my favorite cast members besides Jimmy Fallon, Horation Sanz, Tracy Morgan, and that new guy that played the Rock's son in that Scorpion King sketch. Plus, he was the leader of SNL for five years but now it seems like Jimmy Fallon will be. Sad.
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Report post Posted May 8, 2002 Tracy Morgan is the funniest guy on the show in my opinion. If he came out with a movie, I'd go see it.
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted May 8, 2002 I hope nobody has ever said that shit out loud. If you have, you may the biggest damn loser to ever live. Does it count if you say it outloud and no one's around? Like I just said it to see how it sounds, and... it does sound stupid and gay, but it also sounds funny as hell. *lowers head in shame* I'm going... bye. Guest RetroRob215 Report post Posted May 8, 2002 Does it count if you say it outloud and no one's around? Well, if a tree falls and no one is around to hear it, did it make a noise when it hit the ground? Same logic....I think.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted May 8, 2002 I'm going to answer that question once and for all...OF COURSE their was an noise! A fucking tree falls...it's gonna make a god damn noise!
Guest Kinetic Report post Posted May 9, 2002 The 2000-2001 season was pretty decent, I thought. They finally got Colin f'n Quinn off the show, which could only be an improvement. But, yes, this season has sucked terribly. If I'm turning off the TV during a show featuring The Rock, quite possibly my favorite wrestling personality of all time, then you're doing something wrong. It's hard to pinpoint exactly what that something is, though, aside from the obviously weak writing. The only thing worth a damn is Brian Fellows, and I'm not going to tune in a show every Saturday night just to see that. Still...SNL is now and will forever be better than "Mad TV."
