HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2004 Even you are starting to wear on me Dam and I'm probably one of the few who likes you . Anyways, fact is that you can't say one thing and stay steadfast on that point, especially in the sports folder. Discussions mean opening yourself to other viewpoints and seeing where others are coming from. It's not being stubborn and wearing rose colored glasses. Also rather than just stating something as fact, people...use NUMBERS TO SUPPORT! It makes it easier to clarify your point and makes it harder for others to refute or gives them a way to counter argue by producing their own numbers. In Non-Conference Play... Big XII North: 2-1, 4-0, 2-1, 2-1, 2-1, 2-1 = 13-5(.722) Big XII South(Oklahoma): 3-0, 3-0, 2-1, 3-0, 2-1, 2-1 = 15-3(.833) SEC East: 2-1, 2-0, 2-0, 2-0, 1-2, 1-2 = 10-5(.667) SEC West(Auburn): 3-0, 3-0, 3-0, 2-1, 1-2, 1-2 = 13-5(.722) Pac-10(USC, California): 3-0, 2-0, 2-0, 2-1, 1-2, 1-2, 2-1, 2-1, 1-2, 1-2 = 17-11(.607) Toughest Divisions in Order: Big XII South, Big XII North, SEC West, SEC East, Pac-
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2004 You're talking to a brick wall. My mind is made up and I see nothing wrong with my logic. If you think OU doesn't deserve to be in the title game then you're bias against them. Let it be on record, then, and stop posting. When you proclaim yourself a brick wall and then wonder why nobody likes talking to you in these threads, it's time to give up. Because I don't see how I'm wrong and you people can't see how bias you are. How are we the biased ones when you can't even bring yourself to mention another team unless it's to say they aren't good enough to play in the National Championship? You also can't even bring yourself to consider anyone else for the Heisman and even complained about people mentioning other players in another thread. Well Mad Dog if you'd actually read the thread then you'd understand why the hell I said not to mention other players. I created the thread b/c I want to discuss who deserved it between Peterson and White IF one of them were to win it. I wasn't saying that it was going to be one or the other. I was saying that it's become a hot topic of debate on the Sports Radio around here and I wanted to know what everyone thought if it came down to Peterson and White. SO if you read the thread you would understand that that was what the topic was about. Peterson and White. NOT who overall deserved the Heisman. It's become that now but at the beginning when I was trying to keep people on topic that was why. So read the thread and what the topic was originally about before you jump on my case. And the reason I've basically gone "LALALA" is b/c I don't think I'm wrong. I don't think that OU doesn't deserve to be in that game and nothing anybody is saying has been enough to make me change my mind. That's why I'm sticking to my point b/c I think I'm right and you guys are wrong.
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted November 15, 2004 And that's just stupid. You can't just start a Heisman thread and expect people not to mention other players especially when one of the players you mentioned isn't even in the hunt in a lot of people's minds. Not in the hunt? Is that why he was 2 on the ESPN poll and the other big one who's name always escapes me but has many Heisman voters voting on it....he was 1? Gert T 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2004 I hope all 3 teams lose before the Orange Bowl, because lord knows we're not arguing enough now! Right now I like USC & Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl (if I chose), but the last two games for both teams will be a big factor.
