Internet Explorer troubles

I'm at work right now and we've got no tech support (long story), and my Internet Explorer is giving me fits. Every time I start it ip it runs so slow and choppy, plus the little hourglass next to my cursor keeps flashing every two seconds. I've run all my virus and spyware programs and nothing helped, and my computer is fine when I don't use IE. Sadly I can't download Foxfire or anything else except IE. Anyone got any ideas?

You could always FTP into mozilla.org and grab Firefox 1.0 that way - here's the directory you're looking for (log in as anonymous, no password):

 

ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/1.0/win32/en-US/
