From the-numbers.com

Fox has announced they plan to release Star Wars: Attack of the Clones in 3,300 theaters and on approximately 5,000 screens - 10% fewer theaters and almost 40% fewer screens than Spider-Man. Based on those stats, we're sticking with our $80m opening prediction for Star Wars. We'll have the full weekend data on Spider-Man this afternoon.

That makes more sense, SM has a larger base, while SW is more smaller but loaded with sad dedicated followers that pay so much in repeat business, Almost all the money Lucas made was off the repeat business from the dorks and dweebs.

Lucas has previously stated that he prefers that the movie be shown on quality theaters instead of trying to break any box-office opening records by showing it on any screen available. When Episode I opened it did on fewer screens than Godzilla, which had the record for most screens.

NOTE: i meant no insult to either side...i have no problem with comic books and i also like star wars

I predict that Star Wars Clone Wars will make about $75 million.
