Guest converge241 Report post Posted May 6, 2002 WWF house show report May 5, 2002 Worcester, Mass. at Centrum Center Report by Dave Fournier, PWTorch.com correspondent I just got back from the Smackdown crew's house show. There was very little advertising to let people know about this event and the turnout showed that. I would there were 2,000 people in attendance at the most. The entire upper deck and most of the balcony was empty, and many of the lower sections were empty as well with a few floor seats being empty as well. Here are the results (in no particular order). thats scary..ive been to the Centrum numerous times for events and i cant imagine it that empty.. once again credit PWTorch
Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted May 6, 2002 But Hogan was supposed to jumpstart the new boom for wrestling? Actually, I think this means the real Backlash has already begun.
Guest JHawk Report post Posted May 6, 2002 Is it time to panic yet?
Guest Blue Bacchus Report post Posted May 6, 2002 Is it time to panic yet? Yep, it's time to panic. ::Hits the Panic Button:: Let's hope the WWE don't do the following things in Panic Mode: 1) Dig up Andre for one more run against Hogan 2) Sign Goldberg 3) Decide to hire more talent that won't be used correctly 4) Put the belt on an old hoss who has 3 moves to his arsenal... oh wait... Guest Some Guy Report post Posted May 6, 2002 I went to a show in the Centrum in 2001 headlined by Austin vs. HHH, it wasn't close to sold out. you know why, because no one knew about the show and those who did were totally shocked, myself included that we got Austin vs HHH, this was in early March so HHH kicked ass at the time. WWF does a horrible job of promoting their shows locally, IMO, at least in MA. I didn't know their was a house show in Lowell tonight until today when a sports radio guy made an off hand comment about it.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted May 7, 2002 at least you get house shows where you live. bc canada sucks because we get one show per year and it is still a three hour trip and a lot of fucking money.

Guest swan Report post Posted May 7, 2002 What common fan is going to spend $30 a ticket for a Monday night house show when you know the top guys will be on Raw which is free to watch in the first place. Only a hardcore fan would go.

Guest Report post Posted May 7, 2002 It wouldn't hurt if, for example, Triple H showed up at the house shows he's supposed to headline for the Smackdown brand instead of showing up backstage at "Raw." Why the hell is he at "Raw?"
Guest Report post Posted May 7, 2002 He's at Raw because he's the best in the business, dammit, and he really needs more TV exposure....
Guest Mole Report post Posted May 7, 2002 Yeah, but atleast Raw was sold out in Hartford. So is the house show tonight in Bridgeport. WWE is selling out in their home teritory, so that is better than nothing.
