Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted November 28, 2004 Looks to be the end of Butch Davis in Cleveland, I'm getting a Jim Fassell/2003 Giants vibe with the Browns. They seem to not want to play for him anymore. Maybe cause he's a giant asshole who doesn't coach them to any wins and makes constant changes at quarterback? That and his permanent hard-on for the waste of space known as Kelly Holcumb. That's certainly different than Jim Fassel and the Giants. Davis has only led them to one playoff appearance, and they got their asses handed to them. Fassel took the Giants to the Super Bowl, and lost, but he still got there. The players loved him (probably moreso than they like Tom Coughlin, I'll tell you that much) but he just wasn't ever really a great coach. Decent assistant, but not a great coach. I also don't think it's fair to fire Davis, since they've got a ton of extremely important guys injured, they're only second in guys on the IR to the Bears. He's had a lot of adversity to deal with this season, and they've done it without a semblance of a running game.. or offensive line.. or any real receiving threat (FEAR DENNIS NORTHCUTT!!).. and they've played well in front of the fans. I think they were undefeated at home until they played Philly, which was still a pretty great game, very close.
Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2004 Moss is not anywhere near 100% in this game.
Guest The Shadow Behind You Report post Posted November 28, 2004 Palmer connects with another sick pass to Houshmandenez for a TD.
mike546 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2004 Stupid fucking refs. McNabb throws the ball past the line of scrimage on 3rd down, so its a loss of down and a loss of five yards. Akers then kicks a 47 yard FG WITHOUT moving back the five yards.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted November 28, 2004 Philly up only by 4 in this game against the G-Men. Makes me wonder if they'll have to try to clinch the division next week against Green Bay.... *gulp*
Slayer 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2004 Davis has only led them to one playoff appearance, and they got their asses handed to them. Actually, the Browns were up by 17 in that playoff game and blew it. The only reason most people forget about that though is because the next day (ironic enough) Fassell's Giants blew a 27 point lead to the 49ers.

Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2004 And there is a TD by Randy. He's still walking gingerly though.
Guest The Shadow Behind You Report post Posted November 28, 2004 The Browns seemingly refuse to die here. that or The Bengals Defense could care less.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted November 28, 2004 I was actually typing in that Davis lost the playoff appearance to the 49ers when I realized I was talking about Fassell instead. I had forgotten that Cleveland also blew a huge game that same wildcard weekend. Who did the Browns blow that lead against? I'm pretty sure that was 2001, and I don't think it was the Pats that played them. That was the year of the St. Louis-New England Super Bowl... so maybe it could have been Pittsburgh, Baltimore, or Tennessee..
mike546 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2004 Why the hell do I care about Manning (either one)? Well, if he plays bad, the Giants won't win. But these are the Giants, so even if he starts playing well, we'll still lose.

MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2004 The lack of defense in the Browns/Bengals game will be made up by the Ravens/Patriots game..

MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2004 TD Bengals.. And Im amused that the Redskins are only down 13-7 5to the steelers. I wish I was watching that game instead of this...

Slayer 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2004 Your an Eagles fan right? And I think I'm the only one here... at least the only vocal one I can't really comment on my team's game right now since I can't see or hear it. I have to rely on dubious gamecasts. Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted November 28, 2004 I get to watch the Jacksonville-Minnesota game, probably because of the Florida connection. Although at least luckily I've been spared Tampa Bay-Carolina in favor of Philly-New York. Both of the games I'm getting are great. Although my game won't be on till tommorrow night. MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2004 Roethlisberger only has 99 yards passing. OMG BRING BACK MADDOX.. I hate the Redskins, but for the next hour Im rooting for them to beat the Steelers.
strummer 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2004 Eagles pulling away 20-6, I swear to God , does Brian Westbrook play well against any other team than the Giants? He kills them, and yet seems to do very little against anyone else.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted November 28, 2004 Technically the Eagles should only be up 14-6, considering one of those field goals was a result of a dropped gimme interception, and another was a bad spot (Boy refs love giving bad spots in Eagles games, don't they?)
