Guest Zack Malibu Report post Posted May 6, 2002 I liked what I saw. I, like others, am not on the 'net 24/7, so I just got to read everything today. I'm happy with the way things went, even though I lost (Dammit, conspiracy! j/k), and everyone did a good job with it. Next time, I'll definetly try to lend a hand in the writing part, so you select few that did take the time to write our matches aren't scrambling to get them done. Guest Big Poppa Popick Report post Posted May 6, 2002 my match only took about 15 minutes...just grabbed Big's moveset and used my own..i designed it to be a slight thrashing where i got lucky (tis my character) id like to suggest that when writing matches...move up in moves...if you check out the ladder match, the moves go from traditional to unique to to special to the finishers...this way theres a build...along with how the 10 count build increased everytime just alittle bit of thought makes the match that much better im already working on the wargames gimmick...alot should depend on the title match whoever is writing that please let me know..because the title match will need to go on before the wargames (at least thats what i am thinking sine AS and TSS are involved in both)
Guest Report post Posted May 6, 2002 Pesonally, I loved the PPV as a whole. Everyone did a nice job with their matches, some new feud and angles got rolling, and the Royal Rumble was excellent. I didn't know about the whole 3 hours thing, but I didn't bother me. I think organization is a must though, so we don't have match problems. Also, as soon as you write your match, SEND IT TO THE PERSON WHO IS IN CHARGE! The title match ended up being in the mid-card........but oh well. BTW, thanks to whomever decided to make ME win the rumble. I will carry the AngleTorch as best that I can.
Guest treble charged Report post Posted May 6, 2002 Yeah, I know. I was pissed, *my* match was supposed to be the main event, but I was relegated to the mid-card. Enough to make you think HHH was behind the booking... j/k
Guest Report post Posted May 6, 2002 Hey, I just thought of something. Maybe Larry Zbysko will sue Big-Poppa Popick for his use of the "Larger Than Life LIVING LEGEND" thing that he TMed YEARSSSSSSS ago.
Guest Report post Posted May 6, 2002 I liked it, but so far I have lost every PPV match I've been in!
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted May 6, 2002 TSS, I chose to have you win. Caboose didn't want you to.
Guest Report post Posted May 6, 2002 Gotcha.......Who did caboose want to win?
Guest caboose Report post Posted May 6, 2002 Hey TSS, AS is right, I wanted to see a second match with you and CWM. Your feud was the best of the PPV. My original Rumble had the aWo splitting into two for WARGAMES with AnglePlex or CWM winning, this would eventually kill the aWo. But in the end, If You Can't Beat Them, Swerve Everyone And Become One Of Them.
Guest Report post Posted May 6, 2002 Should we make a battle royal at every PPV for the #1 contendership on the next one?
Guest Report post Posted May 6, 2002 Should we make a battle royal at every PPV for the #1 contendership on the next one? The reason why I gave out the idea, is that I wanted jason to feud with Vader. Also from now on we should post in a dramatic fashion just like Caboose did in his Rumble. I'll write one in a few months or next year.
Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted May 6, 2002 The title match ended up being in the mid-card........ I thought that was done on purpose as a tribute to how Anglesault always whines about how a superstar like Angle is stuck in crappy midcard feuds.
Guest treble charged Report post Posted May 7, 2002 Hey, you can stick Anglesault in the mid-card all you want, but I wan't to be in the main event! j/k
Guest Report post Posted May 7, 2002 I don't know if this has been discussed or not, but I do have a suggestion as far as the organization of your shows. I remember I was in an e-fed once way back when. It was on the old WL forums. When we did a promo we used to post it as a Hidden Message that you'd have to click on and read. The promo was colored text which made it easy to read and distinguishable from other promos. Plus, posting your promos days before the show gave you the chance to work things out with the other participants instead of just being surprised. Of course, you don't have hidden messaging here, and I don't know about color coded text. But you should start a promos thread and post all promos and backstage stuff there. Decide on a group of about thre or so writers and have them write the show. The writers would basically write around the promos and insert them in their proper places when necessary. Also, many segments of the show need to fit in one post. That'd make for less scrolling and loading times for a multiple page thread. The show should be no more than five posts I believe if you fit enough segments and matches into each post. Really, I don't know much about the limitations of this forum so you'd have to test that yourselves.
