Bored 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2004 I wanted to make this a seperate post as I have an important announcement. A_MikeSC has decided to drop out of the contest thus LSU (teke184) wins the Mid South Championship by forfeit and earns an automatic bid to the Oxycotton Bowl. What this also means is that we are now down to 13 bowl eligible teams for 14 spots. Now if Boston College (HarleyQuinn) wins the Big Atlantic title game then we'll have 14. If Boston College loses I have two options 1) Give the final bowl spot to Boise State who is a dead team being used by Vern Gagne, who already is in a bowl game, or 2) Give the final bowl spot to the highest ranked 6-7 team. I won't say who it is until the result of the BC game. I'm leaning towards option #2. Here are teke's picks: THURSDAY MAC Championship: Toledo vs. Miami of Ohio SATURDAY Pittsburgh at South Florida Virginia Tech at Miami Louisville at Tulane Army vs. Navy USC at UCLA SEC Championship: Tennessee vs. Auburn California at Southern Miss Big XII Championship: Oklahoma vs. Colorado Michigan State at Hawaii Tiebreak #1: How many total points will be scored in the SEC title game? 45 Tiebreak #2: How many yards passing will Oklahoma's Jason White have against Colorado? 255 Tiebreak #3: How many receiving yards will Toledo's Lance Moore have against Miami of Ohio?
teke184 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2004 ... I was hoping to win but not like THAT. Fuuuuck...
Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2004 Why not keep Georgia bowl eligible and have someone else make the picks? Harley would be the first choice if he loses. I may has well ask here. Any chance I make the championship game with a UCLA win, and Minnesota lose?
Bored 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2004 I'd say the odds are you'd remain at #2. I can't completely breakdown a scenerio yet until I have all picks in this week but pretty much everything would have to break UCLA's way for them to move to #2.
HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2004 Wow...I'm making everything dramatic aren't I? First making it to the ACC Championship Game and now potentially making it to a Bowl Game if I win!

Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted December 1, 2004 So it comes down to Hawaii/Michigan St. The Island Gangsters better let the Warriors win this game.
Lando Griffin 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2004 I just hope the Spartans that played Wisconsin show up against Hawaii and not the Spartans who played Penn State.
Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2004 Considering UCLA and Minnesota only have 1 pick different. It's highly possible, our matchup doesn't matter. I could be like Oklahoma last season.

Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted December 4, 2004 UCLA is up 1-0. With one game different remaining. Everyone else playing this week picked Toledo.
Bored 0 Report post Posted December 4, 2004 Navy has their game under control so Virginia (Edwin MacPhisto) are the Big Atlantic Champions. Edwin is on his way to the Bored Bowl. The score to the SEC title game could decide the Pac-8 title game. Big MAC title game won't be decided until late tonight with Hawaii game.
Bored 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2004 By the number of points scored so far in the SEC title game, UCLA (phoenixrising) are the Pac-8 Champions as they will win at least by tiebreak. Quite the amazing season for phoenix as he started 0-4 but has won nine of their last ten.
teke184 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2004 Who did UCLA lose to besides LSU?
Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2004 Any idea if my matchup is a must win game?
Bored 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2004 I could probably answer that now but...why ruin any possible suspense? I've decided to invite the highest ranked 6-7 team to the open bowl slot left by A_MikeSC since Boston College lost. That person has been PM'd to see if they do want to participate but I haven't heard from them yet.
Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2004 True Dat. Why not give the person you PM'd Georgia?
Bored 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2004 Well does it really matter at that point what team it is? Georgia I classify with Boise State, Penn State, and West Virginia as being on "probation." Oh and the person who has the highest ranked 6-7 team has accepted the invite and that was..... Texas (Flyboy) The final BCS rankings after tonight's game will have all 32 teams' rankings. Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2004 When we pick the Bowl games, do we have to pick all the games at one time or can we seperate them?
