Jonathon 0 Report post Posted December 1, 2004 The light at the front of my console is blinking orange and green and not reading any games. I get a blank screen, too. I'm 100 percent sure this has something to do with the fact that I brought it (checked) on an airplane this holiday weekend. Could the metal detectors or x-rays have messed up the drive? I am technically inept at stuff like this, so ANY help would be appreciated, since I was SO close to beating Halo 2.

GreatWhiteNope 0 Report post Posted December 1, 2004 Here's the Xbox error codes and what they mean: Flashing Green Bad EPROM image Flashing Red and Orange (Amber) Video display problem, check cord. Also try switching to another video mode by changing the cable. I currently have an Xbox that displays this error when connected to the standard composite video cable but boots fine when connected to a RF adapter cord. Flashing Red and Green Numerous causes, system failure see also Call Customer Service Error Tries To Boot Three Times and then starts flashing red and green. Also Known as "Christmas Lights" In my experience this is due to a failed mod chip and broken traces. I have also seen it on two stock Xboxes doing the same thing. Guest Mindless_Aggression Report post Posted December 1, 2004 I'm always afraid my X-Box is gonna self destruct and take my town with it for some reason. Or when I'm sleeping, attach itself to my face and take over my body. I doubt those thoughts are related to this though, X-Box doesn't warn you before it ruins your life. Basically, just be prepared to send away for a new part or buy another X-Box. That one's had it as is.
