Flair's turn explanation

Recommended Posts

Guest converge241

Judging by Show's speech, Flair will be upset that he main evented the last Nitro and now he cant have main events anymore or something like that..

what i would like to see:

Flair just plain doesnt like Austin after getting disrespected, and upset about WCW demise, and does not care for the NWO, so he pulls off some trades and sics his new henchmen on Austin:

Benoit, Malenko & Saturn (as a tag team S&M), and Matt Hardy (as Flair's protege) as the Four Horsemen

The explanantion will be much like Austins turn last year. ie mumble mumble, not respected, mumble, will this do?

Flair's turn should bring up history, something about how he used to try and get Austin the opportunities he wasn't being given (there is some truth to this, as before Hogan arrived in WCW, Flair was grooming Austin to be his top rival).  Flair can also bring up how he said on the last Nitro that McMahon would never hold his fate in the palm of his hand, and that could lead to a total revolt by the NWO.  Do not have Flair join, but rather have them "do things on their terms", and listen to no one at all.  Flair could turn on Arn Anderson as well, leading to Benoit coming back (supposedly he's going to come to RAW and not Smackdown) and get pushed as a top face against Flair, Hall, Nash, Show and X-Pac.

I would mark out if Flair said that he felt the need to join the nWo's crusade of poisoning/killing the WWF. First off, that was the real reason Vince brought in the nWo, but Flair beat Vince at his own game? Maybe Scott Hall's comments that the company would change forever, and the "F" being dropped from WWF on the same show would be more than coincidental. More than likely, however, it'll probably have to do with Austin not respecting him or something along those lines.

He should say. "It was me all along Austin!"

Like Zack said, Flair should bring up history. If I were WWE, I would dig up the WCW events in late 1993 that started planting the seeds for the Flair/Austin feud ie. Clash of the Champions, Battlebowl '93, etc. Flair also needs to say something on how he's pissed at how the fans treated WCW. How he gave his blood, sweat and tears for WCW, but fans booed it because they didn't flash tits, didn't cuss, and we'd wrestled. Hell, show footage of the first WCW match on WWE TV with Buff vs. Booker T, and how the fans booed them.

I think they need to keep it simple:

-Flair tried to be the good guy.

-No one respects him as an owner.

-Austin's been playing with fire for the past few weeks, and he just got burned!

If they want to make it more complex and add a little continuity in there for the Flair/McMahon/nWo storyline's sake:

-Flair could easily brag about stealing Vince's nWo as his own henchmen, since I doubt Flair turning on Austin will make friends out of Vince & Flair.

But this is the WWF we're talking about. This heel turn will probably lead to Vince & Flair becoming best friends.

Oh joy. I wish I could get my hands on the "paint by numbers guide to writing" that this so-called "creative team" is using. Just for a laugh, I mean. I mean, christ, I've written more compelling stories way back in my 7th grade english class!

i would like that a lot, and thats what i was saying. I think it would be good to have a little shade of grey instead of him being a straight heel. He hates Austin (deservedly so, character-wise), but otherwise he is still a face.

**shudder**

man, i hope not. the last thing i need to see is them together with Vince sending up old Flair promos/skits. Now that you said that why can I imagine one Raw, they come out together and Vince says: "well, now that we get along lets get rid of the brand extension".

ugh

Heh, they might as well. It doesn't seem to be doing much for them anyways.

Yeah, that idea could actually spark some interest in the nWo.  Right now they're a joke, but if the owner of the company chooses them as his personal ass-kickers, regardless of past differences, it might make them appear to be a threat.

Austin's rise was WCW's downfall. Flair's life work down the drain.

Have Flair state that he picked the nWo for the sole purpose to destroy Austin.  But they could not get the job done, so he had to take control and do the job himself.  Now that Flair is no longer the "silient leader" of the nWo, he will attack those who has tried his patience.....Austin being the worst, at pushing his buttons, next on the hitlist Hogan for the final showdown at Summer Slam:  Battle of the Wrestling Deitys

Yeah, I think someone pulled him out of the ring as he was about to deliver the three count! ;)
