Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted December 9, 2004 Report Posted December 9, 2004 So I slammed my hand down on my ps2 while playing football, now my game is scratched and is acting all fritzy. How can i fix this?
AndrewTS Posted December 9, 2004 Report Posted December 9, 2004 The best solution is to find a rental store that fixes scratched discs. They'll often have a resurfacing machine that can fix CDs, DVDs, etc. If that doesn't work, it's probably done for. I go to a local one that charges 3 bucks and guarantees money back if it doesn't fix it. Those scratch fix kits with the aluminum oxide fluids may fix lighter ones, but I wouldn't count on it in your case.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted December 9, 2004 Report Posted December 9, 2004 The game is playable, the sound is just off-kilter. Plus it makes a slight scratching sound when the sound fritzes.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted December 9, 2004 Report Posted December 9, 2004 Plus tootpaste helped eliminate the scratches on the surface except a miniature smidge? Maybe doing that more will help...
Guest Failed Mascot Posted December 9, 2004 Report Posted December 9, 2004 Buy a Game Doctor. I got one for free years back with my PS2 but I think they run like $10-15. Saved me tons since I could fix used games and go with them instead of brand new ones. You slam the PlayStation cause of a Disc Read Error?
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted December 9, 2004 Report Posted December 9, 2004 I slammed the ps2 because Byron Leftwih threw his 3rd interception...
