Fix Scratched PS2 Games

So I slammed my hand down on my ps2 while playing football, now my game is scratched and is acting all fritzy. How can i fix this?

The best solution is to find a rental store that fixes scratched discs. They'll often have a resurfacing machine that can fix CDs, DVDs, etc. If that doesn't work, it's probably done for.

 

I go to a local one that charges 3 bucks and guarantees money back if it doesn't fix it.

 

Those scratch fix kits with the aluminum oxide fluids may fix lighter ones, but I wouldn't count on it in your case.

The game is playable, the sound is just off-kilter. Plus it makes a slight scratching sound when the sound fritzes.

Plus tootpaste helped eliminate the scratches on the surface except a miniature smidge? Maybe doing that more will help...

Buy a Game Doctor. I got one for free years back with my PS2 but I think they run like $10-15. Saved me tons since I could fix used games and go with them instead of brand new ones.
