strummer 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2004 Yeah they just showed a graphic, Bradshaw, Peyton Manning and Aikman were as bad as Eli in their first 3 starts

Guest The Shadow Behind You Report post Posted December 12, 2004 Glad to see that in his time off the field; Kitna hasn't forgotten the art of the INT.
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2004 Yeah, Bradshaw's rookie season was brutal. Expectations are too high these days for people to come in and win immediately. Considering the money involved in sports these days it's not really something for which we can fault owners and coaches, but still.
Guest The Shadow Behind You Report post Posted December 12, 2004 Big Ben isn't helping the future rookie QB's any.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted December 12, 2004 Manning, even though the Colts went 3-13 his first year, actually managed to have more TD's than INT's, which is unheard of for a rookie QB. And Aikman had an abysmal team around him until Smith came in the following year (if I remember correctly). Eli has no offensive line protecting him, but he has made some pisspoor decisions with the ball. This one INT he had against the Eagles stands out in my mind, where he should have thrown it farther up to the pylons and instead heaved the ball right where the Eagle cornerback could get it. 2GOLD 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2004 Bledsoe went into greatness? Bledsoe is actually an outstanding QB when he has a decent running back and a tight end who can catch. His best seasons came around the same time Ben Coates excelled. When Coates left, it seemed Bledsoe hit a wall since none of the tight ends they replaced Coates with could catch a cold let alone a football. He still got the Pats into the Super Bowl and you could say his last stand as a Patriot got them in as well.
Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2004 The problem with Eli though is that the Giants were contending for a playoff spot under Warner. Tanking the season does no good, as they could ruin Manning's confidence and they traded away their top pick anyways. It was just a bad decision by Coughlin. Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2004 Seattle gains some redemption by beating the Vikings with a controversial finish, although realistically, Culpepper was down. The Vikings retain their crown over the Hawks in the battle of the biggest chokers in the NFL.

Guest Failed Mascot Report post Posted December 12, 2004 I'm surprised the Vikings didn't get one more play in their game since nobody ruled Culpepper down and 20 Seahawks ran on the field including the Walruss. Evidently the officials in the NFC are just as good as the teams. Bengals are going to be a very good team in another year or two. I think they should look at trading Kitna for some draft picks to bolster up that defense.
fazzle 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2004 God, I feel so dirty having to root for the Dolphins. But, DAMN, what a defensive performance by the Bills today. The Browns had TWO offensive yards at the 2 minute warning.

Guest Failed Mascot Report post Posted December 12, 2004 Chad PumbledTons doesn't appear to want to throw it to any of his recievers today. Least if the Jets shit the bed that means the Pats win the AFC East. They could be nice though and cheap shot Big Ben
Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2004 what exactly happened? BS calls that the announcers have even said are BS. Jordan gets a 30 yard run, penalty (holding). Carter returns a kick off for about 40 yards, penalty (holding). The Jets recover a fumble. After Ward fumbles and the Jets recover, the play ended, penalty (illegal contact on reciever). The Jets are in FG territory, penalty (Offensive pass interference). The Jets, on 2 different occassions stop the Steelers, and both times, penalty (pass interference, BS pass interferences). Yet they are still only down 0-3.

therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2004 wow nick barnett, just play the damn game. stop celebrating, your down 10-0! Cause a turnover or something. Stop showing off. He was pulling the same shit last week when they were getting blown out by the Eagles. Though Henderson's little spike dance while being down 38 points was more hilarious, especially after Quintin Mikell told him to look at the scoreboard. iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2004 Yeah, this Jets/Steelers game is probably the most one-sided officiating I've ever seen at the NFL level. There were 12 penalties on the Jets in the first half, and at least five of them were total bullshit. It almost seems like the refs just wait for the Jets to get a big play and then call a penalty. The holding call on Becht that called back the 30 yard run stands out the most, as they showed the whole play, and he didn't do anything that even resembled holding. They say that the refs can call holding on every play, but this time he honestly wasn't even doing anything close.
packwingfn 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2004 brett is just not himself out there. i know theres strong winds but without green producing well enough and his receivers having a tough time catching the balls, and our defense sucking. sherman better have a motionval speech or something during halftime. and bench barnett to wake his ass up. sorry i am just overtired, so i rant.
