ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2004 Bastion Booger. I've alway wondered. What happened to Bation during that Rumble? Behind the scenes, I'm guessing they left him out to give the illusion that Bret wasn't making the match. The story on camera was that Bastion Booger got a little sick backstage (<DiBiase>He ate too much?) and didn't come out for the match. Only people who called the Superstar Line knew that at the time. Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted December 15, 2004 It's not the fact that it's him that makes me mad. It's the fact that the number one slot is given away AGAIN. It takes away a lot of what made the Rumble appeal to me. The unpredictability of it all. That's one thing that wrestling has lost over the years, and the Rumble at least retains a little bit of that. It seems to get worse each and every year though, so soon it'll be as bland as Smackdown. I remember watching waiting to see who number one and number two were. When it was Demolition as 1 & 2 I almost shit myself. He's not the #1 ENTRANT, he's the 1st to be signed up for the match. He could be #27 for all anyone knows right now. Guest Coffey Report post Posted December 15, 2004 Well, I don't get Smackdown, and since the thread was titled "entrance" list instead of "entrants" list....

Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted December 15, 2004 If Puder ends up being #1 though... all HELL will break loose, because that spot should be reserved for a mini wrestling match, not an untrained MMA/UFC/whatever shoot fighter.
Guest Fook Report post Posted December 15, 2004 Reading through that list, I noticed that the Dudleys have never been in the rumble match despite being in the WWE for over five years now.
Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted December 15, 2004 Hmm... 2000: vs. Hardy Boyz 2001: vs. Edge & Christian 2002: vs. Tazz & Spike 2003: vs. Regal & Storm 2004: vs. Batista & Flair They've won 2 tag titles at the Rumble PPV, and challenged for 4 straight years. I doubt we'll continue for a 5th, since they aren't even on TV.
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2004 Reading through that list, I noticed that the Dudleys have never been in the rumble match despite being in the WWE for over five years now. Spike came close though. He'll probably be in this year, since he no longer has the Cruiserweight title. EDIT: Although, Razor Ramon (the original, not the knock-off) never participated int the Royal Rumble match. 1993: Fought Bret Hart for the WWF Title. 1994: Successfully defended the IC Title against IRS 1995: Lost the IC Title to Jeff Jarrett. 1996: Lost the IC Title to Goldust

The Dudleys vs. The Hardys at Rumble 2000 was not a tag title match. The tag title match at that show was the New Age Outlaws vs. The APA, in which the Outlaws won in about 2 minutes due to interference from the Mean Street Posse. Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted December 15, 2004 Actually X-pac interfered...MSP ran in during the Rumble Match like Kaientai.
KingPK 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2004 It's no worse than DREW CARREY in the Royal Rumble. At least Puder is an actual athlete. I liked how Carey was used. He stayed out of the way, provided a little comedy relief (trying to bribe Kane), and got the hell out when he should have.

Undertaker and Heidenreich interfere in Rumble eliminating kane and snitsky respectively, they brawl to the back -HBK plays either the unannounced surprise or "steals" a spot from JTTS such as Richards. He goes straight after Edge. they brawl ringside; Shawn gigs. Poured in blood, Shawn rolls back in. Angle and Edge double team and mock him. Shawn makes the hellacious comeback and eliminates Angle via SCM. Angle pulls shawn over and they brawl away. -Triple H screws Batistia as Edge kicks him over. Final 4 (Guerrero, Jericho, Edge and Cena) Final Two: Cena and Edge Winner: John Cena via FU over the ropes.
Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted December 15, 2004 Blech, this Rumble is going to suck with the only likely winners being Randy "Please guys, cheer me!" Orton and John "Did I mention I make fun of gays?" Cena.
LivingLegendGaryColeman 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2004 I know a lot of people said they don't like how 1 and 2 is revealed, but I really hate 30th entry the most. The first year they did that, okay, it fit with the storyline at the time, but now it is every year! Also, there needs to be some surprise entrants still. 2002 had some nice comebacks and such, but they all got announced. I'm not saying necessarily I want them to dig up someone worthless, however, I liked it better when there was some interesting surprise element.

Orton and John "Did I mention I make fun of gays?" Cena. See, there's an easy thing to do whhen the Rumble winner is easily predicted... Try predicting some of the other eliminations and such. ...course, I'm pretty sure that no one predicted Maven eliminating Undertaker in 2002.

I'm not saying necessarily I want them to dig up someone worthless, however, I liked it better when there was some interesting surprise element. Actually, the number 30 slot hasn't been told beforehand a lot I don't think. 88: Number 20 that year wasn't told (since there were only 20 guys) 89: Wasn't told, but most people could guess DiBiase bought that number 90: Perfect told in an interview earlier 91: Tugboat, didn't tell. 92: Warlord, didn't tell 93: Savage, didn't tell 94: Adam Bomb, didn't tell...but if you watch the tape release later, you could see him there during the backstage Savage/Crush fight. 95: Crush, didn't tell. 96: Droese...won match over HHH earlier to get that. 97: Undertaker, didn't tell. 98: Vader, didn't tell. 99: Chyna, won match for it 00: X-Pac, "earned" it 01: Rikishi, won match for it. 02: Booker T, didn't tell 03: Undertaker, didn't tell. 04: Goldberg, won match for it. So, all in all...not even half of the Royal Rumbles had 30 told beforehand.
cawthon777 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2004 I'm guessing that the Raw World Champion gets the night off but is used on the show in some capacity. I'm sure many will disagree but 20 days just doesn't seem like enough time to build a pay-per-view title match right after the championship is decided. Guest The Shadow Behind You Report post Posted December 15, 2004 What if the E.C has a suspect finish between HHH and Benoit/Orton/Jericho and they use RR to blow that off? I'd say blow off the Orton/HHH program @ Rumble since it's clear they are going the Batistia route.
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2004 I predict Orton and Cena will both be in the Rumble and one of them will get the number 30 spot. The following people will NOT be in the 2005 Royal Rumble: The Big Show, The Undertaker, John Heidenreich
Guest Fook Report post Posted December 15, 2004 I'd love seeing an Eddie/Benoit confrontation some time in the rumble match, but we'll probably get Kane as a surprise entrant saving Taker from a Snitsky/Heidenreich beatdown.

Guest The Shadow Behind You Report post Posted December 16, 2004 I hate your FB's. They all lack realism and logic. Puder @ 1 is dumb and you have 6-10 people who won't be in the rumble in it and pointless Hurricane/Christian. Viscera? Edge/Benoit? I'm 98.4% sure you are kidding but I don't care. Guest Phenom Report post Posted December 16, 2004 I hate your FB's. They all lack realism and logic. This is the WWE we're talking here. They'll do something like this, I'm sure. Puder @ 1 is dumb and you have 6-10 people who won't be in the rumble in it and pointless Hurricane/Christian. Viscera? Edge/Benoit? Puder is the first entrant, just ask anyone in this tread. Hurricane/Christian is the natural route for the Superhero/Supervillian schtick. Viscera will go in for no real reason, and the Copeland/Benoit match is based off my NYR predictions that Edge wins the EC match and loses to LL Sensible R at Mania. I'm 98.4% sure you are kidding but I don't care. Fine, don't care! I can make it on my own! I'm leaving you, Shadow!
