Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted May 8, 2002 hmm...since this thread is not really serious I too will give a promo of a wrestler telling everyone about the firing. My choice: HHH. HHH: (After 8 minute enterance to little pop) I...uh...Have...uh...Some...uh...Bad...Uh...NEWS (POSE). Seriously...I wonder if anything comes down a HHH. Lets recap: 1. He came back in SHITTY form and couldn't get over. 2. He was the ONLY person in the back to step up and endorse the arrival of the NWO. 3. The NWO angle bombs. 4. The NWO angle and push pisses off the top star in the company sending him home for 2 weeks on an "I hate WWF management campaign". 5. HHH's title run bombs. 6. Ratings begin their downward slide during HHH's title run and the focus of Raw on the NWO. 7. This whole NWO mess leads to pushes for: Bradshaw & Xpac. and crowd heat lets them know what a bad idea that was. 8. Beleiving that the angle needs help...Big Show also gets a push (Sorry Eddy...sorry RVD...sorry Angle...sorry Edge...sorry Book...oh I could go on but I won't.) Meanwhile Storm and Christian CAN'T GET ON TV. 9. Still beleiving that the angle needs help...Flair turns heel..despite being one of the few people over enough to pop the crowd. 10. Hall is fired. I wonder if anyone notices that, as always... ALL ROADS LEAD TO HHH
Guest Kinetic Report post Posted May 8, 2002 6. Ratings begin their downward slide during HHH's title run and the focus of Raw on the NWO. No. The ratings have been sliding for quite some time now, including the period in which Triple H was not seen or heard from on television for 8 months. It may be my faulty memory, but I seem to recall ratings actually jumping during HHH's title reign. Granted, this had more to do with the buzz from Hogan-Rock at Wrestlemania, but it's still true. So, no. You're wrong.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted May 8, 2002 Well... Raw ratings have stayed pretty much the same for a while so I was reffering to Smackdown (which of course just hit 2.9) If you look...by the end of HHHs month with the belt SD scored a 3.5...until then the only worse rating the show got was in the buildup to mania (with the HHH/Jericho storyline) when it scored a 3.4 once. Then it went up to the 4s the week after mania and started sinking from there. So there was an initial pop up in rating...then they sank when he had the belt. Guest Report post Posted May 8, 2002 (Flair and Nash are hanging out backstage) Flair: Dammit, I'm really pissed off about this whole thing! Austin's still trying to mess with me, the Big Show's nothing but a bit fata(beep), X-PAC SUCKS--you know what? Hall is FIRED! Nash: Whoa, what? Fired? Flair: That's right! You heard me! (he rants and throws stuff) He got drunk last weekend and came to work tonight drunk, well he's THROUGH! I'M running this show, and I say he's FIRED! Nash: ...touchy, touchy. Guest Redhawk Report post Posted May 8, 2002 At the most, they'll say he got injured during the match on Monday (that's how they explained Eddie Gurerrero's drug suspension) and just never mention him again.
Guest Zero_Cool Report post Posted May 8, 2002 Or they could do an elaborate "death" angle. Sure, it would be distasteful, but they could bury him once and for all by having a Scott Hall stunt double walking in the parking lot before the show, then have him abducted by weird cult looking guys with hoods over their heads. After that, they could just never mention him again. *is tired and needs sleep*
Guest Risk Report post Posted May 8, 2002 They should have Heyman address the crowd about Hall's firing. *evil grin*
Guest cobainwasmurdered Report post Posted May 8, 2002 they should just come out and say he got drunk off his ass and was fired for unprofessinal behavior
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Report post Posted May 8, 2002 Flair could say he sent Hall to Asia for a promotional tour and he can be mauled by pandas. Or they could put him in an ambulance and have Hogan run it over with a truck. Or they could have a stunt double get hit by a car. Or they could have the Fake Razor come in and face him in a casket match which ends with Hall being resurected. Or they could put him in a car and have it dropped from 40 feet in the air. Or they could push him off the roof of an arena.

Guest Report post Posted May 8, 2002 I've never heard of that about Austin either. Tell me, did he walk around insulting other talent in the company and running down their move set? As I recall, Hall did things like tha when pissed.
Guest converge241 Report post Posted May 8, 2002 Hey maybe they filmed an angle before/after Raw to explain it..maybe that was the reason they didnt fire him before the show
Guest toggle Report post Posted May 8, 2002 They could have Flair come out and say he doesn't owe the fans an explanation for firing Hall, and he doesn't owe the fans an explanation for his heel turn! Woooo. Since when does the WWE explain anything or follow logic at all? Man, Raw sucked.

Guest Report post Posted May 8, 2002 Well...you know how sometimes guys would get injured, and then they'd have someone else injure them, just so they could say "Hey, I injured him!". Like, Scotty 2 Hotty had some injury that was going to keep him out for a month or two, so they had Kurt Angle come in and "break his ankle" so that Kurt looked like even more of a badass. It's like, "As long as he has to take some time off, let's get some use out of it!". So..."As long as we're going to fire him, let's get some use out of it! Let's REALLY fire him!" Or drop him off a roof, maybe. I dunno, but something. ;

Guest Report post Posted May 8, 2002 They could replay the Jake Roberts/Earthquake feud: A really, realy big fatman ties up the nWo, and sits on Hall, squashing him into oblivion, and we never hear of it again.
Guest Report post Posted May 8, 2002 They got to bring in the stunt hall from when he first jumped ship to wcw have him work the night in a match with Stone Cold looser leaves the WWEgh he looses and Austin tells him to get the F out also i'm willing to wager large sums of money that they don't even mention Mr. Perfect gone u'll just never hear his name again
Guest papacita Report post Posted May 9, 2002 I've never heard of Austin showing up drunk, but I do remember a house show back in 99 where he looked like he got a little buzz doing his beer drinking thing. As for Hall...uh...just say he got abducted by aliens or something. Even better, play back some of the footage from the ET movie with Hall's face pasted on the alien's body.
Guest Report post Posted May 9, 2002 Show footage of Albert taking someone away, and put Hall's face on it. Explain it by saying Bigfoot kidnapped Hall, and hasn't been heard from since.
Guest Ravenbomb Report post Posted May 9, 2002 Bring back Rick Bogner, put him in a match with Some Jobber Guy, and he can say 'Hey, Yo. If I can't beat this Some Jobber Guy chico, Hey Yo, survey says I'll quit." And then he looses and has to quit, forcing Big Show to chokeslam him off of the top of the arena through a table or something.

Scrubs = Ratings
Guest notJames Report post Posted May 10, 2002 Have a guy dressed up in a Hall mask come out to ringside with the nWo... X-Pac: Hi, Scott! You look like you've got something to say. Do you? Hall: Yes, I certainly do... Then a disembodied voice says through the sound system... Disembodied voice: I have to go now... my planet needs me. They raise the faux Hall up to the rafters on a wire. Then, Flair pulls out a placard with the words: "Hall died on the way back to his home planet." --- Couldn't be any worse than Hogan's motorcycle skit, right? Right? Guest converge241 Report post Posted May 10, 2002 lol @ not james post.. maybe hes going to Planet Statsiak i think JR will announce that Scott Hall has not left.. and out comes Rick Bogner (or whatever his name is)..now that would be funny

Guest Report post Posted May 10, 2002 IF the WWE did really have plans of firing Hall, Then they should of been smart enough to trick Hall into doing a backstage skit. They tell him it will air later in the night or next week, or even HEAT, and have him getting thrown out the back door. Gone forever. Heenan-ish like departure! Also, anyone else think they will air the Perfect Vs Matt Hardy match on HEAT? I don't see any other way around it, unless their gonna only show two matches and do NOTHING but damn Recaps this week.
