Raw gets a raw deal

Recommended Posts

Kevin Nash=injured

Kane=injured

Hall=fired

Perfect=fired

That leaves their roster at 27 guys now, since they've added Eddy Guerrero. Who will get injured or fired next? Pretty soon there won't be anyone left except Bossman.

Scott Hall and Curt Hennig fired... Jerry Lynn 'let go' a while back under mysterious circumstances... I think it's obvious what is going on here -

X-Pac is holding down other Minnesota wrestlers!

Seriously, though, maybe this'll mean they'll bring in people who are younger than 40 to be on RAW...

-- Bradshaw is getting a huge push from WWE (WWF) management lately. Although he was in line for a decent sized push when the brand extension took place, when Kane, who was in line to step up to the main-event level, was sidelined with an injury, Bradshaw was given the ball and hopes are he can meet expectations. Now that the news on the UK tour has blasted the media showing Scott Hall and Mr. Perfect both losing their WWF jobs, and Bradshaw being just as much involved in the Michael Hayes incident as those two, many are speculating that Bradshaw will either be suspended or lose a lot of steam on the push he was in line to receive.

FIRE THE BASTARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes! Fire him!

Indeeeeeeeeeeed!

Bradshaw puts on terrible matchs. He was half responsible for that DUD match on the last PPV vs (suprise suprise!) Scott Hall! One go bye, so two must go bye!

But he's been in the WWF for years, and he is a TEXAN HOSS! I doubt he would be let go so easily.

I thought that they were doing a decent job with what they had for a RAW roster, until the last several shows.  The Big Show turn, and now the Flair heel turn are not things I looked forward too.

The Hardcore Division thing has been nothing but a joke for the last 2 years or so, save for when Rob Van Dam got the belt.  It has no "prestige".

Now, the only "names" that RAW has are Austin, Flair and Undertaker, all guys that we've been watching.  Austin is getting stale, The Undertaker IS stale, and God Bless Flair, but not even he alone can save a show.

Bradshaw is in line for the "Kane push", since the Big Red Machine got injured, but he can't keep his damn nose clean backstage, so how long until HE'S fired.

X-Pac and Big Show as the top heels?  Gag Me.

Nash got injured by doing NOTHING, so methinks he'll be let go eventually.  What could he do when he comes back, cut a "shoot" on how the company dicks over his friends?  If I wanna watch that, I have the WCW tapes for it.

Perfect, while not a main eventer anymore, I'm sure could go when motivated.  Unfortunately for him, he really hasn't been, save for his return at the Rumble, and a few decent TV spots with RVD and Edge.

While RAW does have talented workers in RVD, Regal, Eddie, and D'Lo, (and Brock, if they let him loose and stop trying to create Goldberg2k2), they don't have "name value" that would make fans tune in.  And the lower card has been turned into a giant in-joke, having all the ECW guys running in on the Hardcore matches.

I never thought I'd say this, but sign Goldberg.  Sign Steiner, even for the short term.  Hell, try and get Ken Shamrock back, and it's time to call up O'Haire, Moore, Knoble, Prototype, or whoever JR is bragging about this week.  Kanyon, Rhyno, Awesome, hurry up and heal already.  I hope the rumors of a Benoit "trade" are true.  Smackdown, while the ratings are down, it's more because of the angles than the talent.  With Angle, Jericho, Edge, Christian, Storm, Kidman, Tajiri, Chavo, Hurricane all on the roster, match quality will never be a problem.

Signing the NWO obviously did bring the poison to the WWF.  Vince is probably kicking himself about it now.  Much like Bagwell helped to ruin the Invasion, I think the NWO has at least contributed quite a lot to the lack of success the split has had.

They are in trouble!! They didn't have a good roster that the beginning of the draft and they have a horrible one now.

I'd say hire Goldberg and maybe Ken Shammrock and then send up 5 to 8 development wrestlers. But they really need to introduce characters slowly if they can. Like the promos they use to do in 89-95

Here is an idea:  Push Van Dam you dumbasses!  I mean, it ain't that hard.  Seriously, how dumb is the WWF (not WWE, I will always refuse) to push hacks like Bradshaw and X Pac yet not push RVD harder?  The guy is vastly more over and more talented.  I'd think even major RVD detractors would rather him main event than those guys.

So true! I can't stand RVD but I'd much rather see him in the main events than X-Pac and Bradshaw.

That could almost make Raw watchable again if they brought up some of the OVW guys and moved the likes of RVD or Booker T to main event hell Goldustin is gone Booker has nothing to do Eddie may be gone his profile has been taken off WWF.com RVD has nothing to do set up King of the Ring winner gets the IC title which is what happens most times anyways

A few things that would make RAW more interesting...

1. Set something up where Flair breaks up the nWo. There I said it. Now that Hall is gone, Nash is hurt, and Hogan is face, the whole "nWo" is GONE. They could have put X-pac, Big Show, and Kane as fake Diesel and had a better nWo then the one they paid millions for and now no longer have.

2. Use the Big Show as Brock Lesnar's first big victory. Maybe have Paul Heyman recruit him to form a tag team.. Natural Disasters 2k2 if you will. Brock will look SMALL next to the big man, but he will look all the more impressive in the ring when he carries the team. Build something up where they see who is better. The biger man with no heart, or the guy who really wants it, who eats, sleeps, breathes "the business" Imagine the promos Paul Heyman could cut on that? Don't for get, he made ECW fans LOVE 911 for a while. And imagine how AWESOME Brock would look throwing the Big Slow around the ring. Next stop for Brock: KANE.

3. RVD vs XPac in a battle of the stoners! (Ok, don't call it that...) but it would be RVD's first feud where he could work with someone that is higher up on the ladder than he is and maybe being put in the ring with RVD will help XPac try and kick his game up a notch. RVD should be the #2 man for the RAW brand as it looks right now.

4. Austin needs a big character change. He could become really defensive and paranoid as Ric Flair keeps letting title matches come and go, with Austin never getting a shot - Isn't Flair the guy that wanted the Hollywood Blondes to break up? Didn't he keep Austin from getting the big push in WCW? What? Let Austin have his reasons and Flair have his. Neither has to be a heel. Let the audience decide who they want to root for. That way Austin can be chasing the title (which will keep him in a top spot) but he won't be in the title match at EVERY PPV (that way we'll all be happy when he wins eventually wins the belt). It's a retread of Austin-McMahon, sure, but that worked and it gave them the ability to build up the Rock and Mankind by putting the belt on them for a while - plus Ric Flair wouldn't be overtly evil, giving us a little twist.

5. Turn Bradshaw heel and let him fight with a babyface Booker T. Something we haven't seen yet, right?

I like the Disasters idea, but they should bring back Tenta to team with Brock or the Hurricane to reform the Disasters.

They needn't be called Natural Disaster, but they would be a team in the same spirit... 2 giants who are unbeatable. Maybe they could be called "The Irresistable Force and the Immovable Object" that could be both a tribute to Gorilla Monsoon and a poke at the big slow.

Although Tenta and The Hurricaine would be funny.

I say Vince should offer Jarrett a nice contract, cut off NWA at the knees, sign Goldberg and Steiner and that would replenish his big names.  Steiner and Jarrett could really help Booker's push with their history, and whether Jarrett is pushed hard or at IC level he can deliver , IMO.

Goldberg, like him or not, still equals big money.  I'd really like to see him in an environment where he is in there with top guys he can't squash.  oldberg can really be innovative with his powermoves and if given time he can do nice work.  WWE can give us a nice character and just not waste time with dumb streaks and squashing midcarder feuds.

I love Hall, but he had no chance.  Couldn't get over, and neither could Nash.  He lost EVERY bit of his youth by the time he stepped in and didn't look stong.  Whether he messed it up himself or not, it was good he exited with a strong lace on the card.

Kane will be back soon enough, and he'll prosper on the brand without those guys or at least without Taker, Show, Lesnar and Goldberg.  Thowse big men need to be evenly distributed.

Push RVD and Booker, hell even DDP and you'll have a lot of fresh stuff to use if you use different combos with

Show, Kane, Taker, Austin, Jericho, Angle, HHH, Rock, Goldberg, Steiner , DDP, Jarrett, Booker and RVD.

The upper card would rule if you ask me, and this very well could happen.

Well it isnt like smackdown is doing much better.

Rock - still in Hollywood or WWE limbo, and right now, If I'm him, Hollywood is looking a little bit better every minute..

Farrooq - rumored to be pondering retirement

DDP - Retirement likely

Benoit - Still not back dammit..he might not want to come back now lol..

Although Raw = poop right now...

compare their ratings to smackdown.

Raw is STILL in the mid 4s despite the show.  The show draws solid ratings.

They need to worry about SD more than Raw.

Eddy and Goldsut aren't fired.

Well I know the first time in a long time I was happy to see the Big Show was when he carried Vince McMahon off the first "Ric Flair RAW". Maybe running in a chokeslamming people is all the big show SHOULD do.

Thats was the brilliance of it.

911 couldn't DO anything else well.

So he just did that.

Heyman was so good at storylines and angles that people went nuts for the guy...and he never wrestled.

Heyman got more out of no talents than Vince gets out of great talents.
