Hulk Hogan - Ric Flair - WWF Title -Dream feud. Flair came to WWF saying he was "real"

World Champion. Mocked Hogan and cost him title at Survivor Series '91

 

Randy Savage - The Undertaker - Paul Bearer had been stalking Elizabeth for months before this. Finally Savage had enough and went out to confront Bearer during an Undertaker match. Savage pushed Bearer, and The Undertaker left the ring and brawled with Savage. Jack Tunney makes Hogan/Savage vs Undertaker/Papa Shango for the Rumble.

 

Bret Hart - Mr. Perfect - WWF Intercontinental Title - Started in Jan 92. Perfect says Hart has been ducking out of a title shot with him. He beats Owen Hart and beats him down to bring Bret out. Bret ran out to help his brother and gets nailed with a steel chair by Perfect.

ROYAL RUMBLE

January 19, 1992

 

Shawn Michaels and Mr. Perfect defeated Bret Hart and Owen Hart at 15:30 after Hart when for a suplex, but was low blowed and rolled up by Perfect. By winning this match, Perfect gets an IC title shot for Prime Time Wrestling with Bret Hart. ****1/2

 

British Bulldog drew Jake Robert at 17:34 after both men were counted out. ***1/4

 

Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage defeated The Undertaker and Papa Shango at 18:23 after Undertaker hits Papa Shango by accident and Hogan leg dropped him. **

 

WWF Tag Team Championship Match

The Legion of Doom defeated The Natural Disasters at 20:45 after Hawk clotheslined Earthquake.  *1/2

 

WWF Championship 30 Man Royal Rumble

Ric Flair wins after eliminating Randy Savage at 68:54. ***

PRIME TIME WRESTLING

January 20th, 1992

 

New WWF Champion Ric Flair and Bobby Heenan come out for a celebration cermony. They talk for a few minutes until Jack Tunney interrupts and congragulates Flair on his victory, and announces Ric Flair and The Undertaker vs Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage for the next edition of Saturday Night Main Event in February. He also announces that due to Mr. Perfect's cheating last night, he will NOT get the Intercontinental Title shot tonight, but instead his partner Shawn Michaels will.

 

Martey Jannety defeated The Mountie at 5:35 **1/2

 

Jerry Saggs defeated Bushwaker Butch at 4:25. 1/2*

 

Sid Justice defeated Papa Shango at 6:54 after a powerbomb. **

 

Randy Savage defeated Jake Roberts by DQ after Paul Bearer came out to stalk Elizabeth. Savage went to get him when The Undertaker attacked and tombstoned him on the floor. Paramedics carried him out on a stretcher. ***

 

WWF Intercontinental Title - Bret Hart defeated Shawn Michaels after a sharpshooter at 17:37. ****

PRIME TIME WRESTLING

January 27th, 1992

 

Jack Tunney is standing in the ring to open up the show, and he invites WWF champion Ric Flair out. Flair, along with Heenan, come to the ring. Tunney claims that due to The Undertaker's horrible attack on Randy Savage last week, that the Flair/Undertaker vs Hogan/Savage match for Saturday Night Main Event has been cancelled. Flair is relieved. Tunney then claims that in the replacement match, Flair and The Undertaker will instead fight Hulk Hogan and Rowddy Roddy Piper! This brings Hot Rod out and he and Flair have a stare down. Jack Tunney explains that this will not be a title match due to Piper not being #1 contender.

 

Shawn Michaels defeated Jimmy Snuka at 12:25. **

 

The Undertaker defeated Jim Neidhart at 5:45. *1/2

 

After The Undertaker's match, Hulk Hogan, runs to the ring and attacks him, but officials break the two up before it gets out of hand. Hogan gets a mic and says that he will get revenge for what Undertaker did to Savage last week.

 

Interview with Miss Elizabeth about Randy Savage's condition.

 

Animal defeated Jerry Saggs by count out at 6:34. *1/2

 

Hulk Hogan defeated Haku by DQ at 8:35 after Undertaker attacks Hogan. Hogan eventually clears the ring of the Undertaker and Haku. *1/2

Haku and The Barbarian defeated The Natural Disasters at 7:35. *

 

Interview with Randy Savage - he says he'll be back in time for WrestleMania VIII, and he challenges The Undertaker to a match.

 

Sid Justice defeated IRS in 2:15 after a Powerbomb. *1/2

 

Texas Tornado, Jimmy Snuka and Tatanka defeated Shawn Michaels, Rick Martel and The Mountie at 8: 34 after Tornada pinned The Mountie. **1/2

 

Interview with Hulk Hogan hyping the Hogan/Piper vs Flair/Undertaker Saturday Night Main Event.

 

Ric Flair and Mr. Perfect defeated The British Bulldog and Bret Hart at 14:47 after Flair put Bulldog in the Figure Four. ****

February 12th, 1992

 

Legion of Doom defeated General Adnan and Colonel Mustafa in a non-title match at 6:12 after hitting a Doomsday Device on Adnan. 3/4*

 

The Nasty Boys runs out after the Legion of Doom match and ambush them. They steal the WWF Tag Team Titles.

Sid Justice defeated Brooklyn Brawler in 00:45 after a Powerbomb. He Powerbombs him again after the match. *

 

Interview with Ric Flair about Roddy Piper and Hulk Hogan.

 

Shawn Michaels and Ric Martel defeated Marty Jannety and Owen Hart at 8:15 after Sherry interfered and Martel pinned Owen. ***1/2

 

British Bulldog is out in the ring ready for his match with Skinner when Jake Robert ambushes him. He beats him down and hits a DDT, then leaves.

 

Roddy Piper defeated IRS by DQ at 3:45 after Ric Flair attacks. The Undertaker joins him, but Hulk Hogan runs down the isle. Hogan and Piper send Flair and Undertaker out of the ring before any serious damage is done. *3/4

Tatanka and Texas Tornado defeated The Berzerker and The Mountie at 6:45 after mis-comunication by the losing team. *

 

Jake Roberts interview-claiming that he wants a rematch from his Royal Rumble encounter with British Bulldog.

 

Sid Justice defeated The Repo Man at 3:45 after a powerbomb. *1/4

 

Legion of Doom interview claiming that they want their tag titles back from The Nasty Boys.

 

Interview with Ric Flair and The Undertaker hyping Saturday Night Main Event.

 

Jake Roberts defeated Barry Howaritz at 4:45 after a DDT. *1/2

February 22nd, 1992

 

Mr. Perfect defeated Tatanka at 6:30 after a Perfect Plex. Perfect cheated various times in the match. **

 

Mr. Perfect is named #1 contender to the Intercontinental Title by President Jack Tunney.

 

Bret Hart and Owen Hart defeated The Nasty Boys at 10:35 after Legion of Doom interferene - Bret put Barbarian in the sharpshooter. ***1/2

 

Jake Roberts defeated The Texas Tornado at 7:25 after a DDT. Roberts cheated various times in the match. **

 

The British Bulldog came out with a neckbrace and accepted Robert's challenge.

 

Interview with Ric Flair and The Undertaker hyping the Main Event.

 

Interview with Hulk Hogan and Roddy Piper hyping the Main Event.

 

Hulk Hogan and Rowdy Roddy Piper defeated Ric Flair and The Undertaker at 15:50 after Hogan dropped the leg on Flair, and Mr. Perfect broke up the pin, causing a DQ. Hogan and Piper cleared the ring after the match. **1/2

 

President Jack Tunney names Hulk Hogan #1 contender for the WWF Title at WrestleMania VIII. Sid Justice walks out and argues the decision, claiming that he has easily gone through the entire roster in the past few weeks. Tunney stands by his decision, but Sid attacks Hogan from behind. Roddy Piper tries to help Hogan, but gets kicked and Powerbombed.

February 24, 1992

 

Sgt.Slaughter defeated The Genius at 4:24 after a cobra clutch. *

 

Ric Flair interview. He claims that he can't wait for WrestleMania so he can show the world that he is the best wrestler alive today.

 

Elizibeth is at the announcers booth with Monsoon and Heenan when The Undertaker and Paul Bearer interrupt. Bearer says that Undertaker wants Liz as his bride. Undertaker forcefully brings Liz backstage with him.

 

The Mountie defeated Jimmy Snuka at 4:25 after holding the tights during a roll up. *1/4

 

Road Warrior Animal defeated 'The Model' Rick Martel at 3:47 after a Powerbomb. After the match the Nasty Boys attack Animal, but Hawk makes the quick save. *1/4

 

Sid Justice defeated The Texas Tornado at 5:25 after a Powerbomb. **

 

Piper's Pit with Special Guest Sid Justice. Sid claims that he was screwed out of the #1 contender slot due to backstage politics. Piper interrupts and says he's mad that Sid attacked him, and it escalates into a brawl.

Marty Jannety defeated The Brooklyn Brawler cleanly at 3:25 after a rollup. *1/2

 

Sit down interview with Bret 'Hitman' Hart and Mr. Perfect. Perfect claims that Hart has been ducking a title shot with him, while Hart argues that he would never be scared to defend his title.

 

Rick Martel defeated Owen Hart at 4:14 after vertical suplex. **

 

Bret 'Hitman' Hart defeated The Mountie at 6:25 after a sharpshooter. **

WRESTLEMANIA VIII

March 22, 1992

 

Shawn Michaels defeated Owen Hart at 10:35 after with a Back Suplex after Sherri distracted Owen. ****

 

The British Bulldog defeated Jake 'The Snake' Robert at 8:42 after a Running PowerSlam. **

 

WWF Intercontinental Championship Match

Bret 'Hitman' Hart defeated Mr. Perfect at 17:36 after applying a SharpShooter. ***1/2

 

WWF Tag Team Championship Match

The Legion of Doom defeated The Nasty Boys at 9:27 after LOD hit the Doomsday Device on Saggs. *3/4

 

Randy 'Macho Man' Savage defeated The Undertaker at 15:34. Savage came out striking but didn't hurt The Undertaker. Undertaker dominated most of the match. Savage hit an elbow drop but only got a two count. The Undertaker tried to tombstone Savage, but it was reversed and Undertaker got tombstoned himself. Savage pinned for a two count, but then the ref got knocked out and Savage used a steel chair, and after a few shots was able to pin the Undertaker. ***1/2

 

Sid Justice defeated 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper at 9:35. Match was pretty even until the ref got knocked down. Piper knocked Sid out of the ring. Sid got a chair and brought it in, but Piper kicked him in the stomach before he coud use it. Piper picked up the chair and hit Sid in the back with it, but the ref saw it and called for the DQ. **1/2

 

WWF Championship Match

Hulk Hogan defeated Ric Flair at 18:40. Hogan dominated for the first four minutes, but Flair fought his was back into the match using a variety of cheating methods. Flair locked in the Figure Four at the fifteen minute mark of the match, but Hogan powered out of it, hulked up and hit the leg drop for the win and his fourth WWF Title. ***

 

After the main event, Mr. Perfect runs down the isle, and he and Flair start to attack Hogan. They do a beat down when all of a sudden, a returning ULTIMATE WARRIOR runs down the isle, and he and Hogan fight off Perfect and Flair. Fireworks go off and Warrior and Hogan are posing in the ring as the show draws to a close.
