teke184 Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 Depends on what year you become a Saints fan... I started in 1989, when they snuck into the playoffs before getting assraped by the Bears. The next year, they won the first NFC West title in the team's history.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 No, it's only abuse if he raised you to be a Cardinals fan.
CanadianChris Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 My dad was a Saints fan and raised me to be one. Is that child abuse? No. Child abuse would be being raised to be a Cardinals fan.

Guest Salacious Crumb Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 I'm just curious. If it meant Hasslett being gone would you rather the Saints miss the playoffs or is making the playoffs more important?
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 And being forced to watch Jim Hart's games.... *shudders*

Might as well add the Cleveland Indians to that list as well.
teke184 Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 I'm just curious. If it meant Hasslett being gone would you rather the Saints miss the playoffs or is making the playoffs more important? Haslett isn't the problem... It's a personnel problem IMHO. I'd start with getting some big O-Line guys and more DBs in the draft.

CanadianChris Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 I'm just curious. If it meant Hasslett being gone would you rather the Saints miss the playoffs or is making the playoffs more important? Haslett will probably come back anyway after coming so close to the playoffs, so making the playoffs definitely wins.
Guest Flyboy Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 Whether or not the Saints' make the playoffs or not, I'm pretty sure Haslett will be back next year.

teke184 Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 GO CURTIS MARTIN~! They're in FG range now! Put it in the end zone!
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 Hasslett's seems to be the cause of personel problems. It seems guys he doesn't take a liking to get run out of town. Letting Kyle Turley go was a horrible move on the Saints part as well. The O-Line has yet to recover.
CanadianChris Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 I've never seen so many double posts that come from different posters.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 It moves too fast to just edit old posts.
Guest Flyboy Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 Letting Kyle Turley go was a horrible move on the Saints part as well. The O-Line has yet to recover. And now Turley could be out from the game forever due to chronic back problems? He also was going to cost too much. Next?
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 Is it wrong that I am cheering for the Rams?

And now Turley could be out from the game forever due to chronic back problems? He also was going to cost too much. Next? It was still a bad choice at the time. Paying him more is better than the weak line they've got right now. I'm not using hindsight for that. Yeah he got hurt but at the time they let an excellent linemen and lockerroom guy go.
Guest Flyboy Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 I hate you Jet's secondary and Torry Holt.
teke184 Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 Is it wrong that I am cheering for the Rams? Yes... feel free to go to Hell.

Der Kommissar Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 That's true. I was only thinking in football terms. Might as well add the Cleveland Indians to that list as well. Let's not forget about the Detroit Lions. Even when they do well, they will find a way to embarrass themselves. Not to mention finding new and creative ways to lose(See also: their 2001 season and rallying back in the final seconds against the Minnesota Vikings only to lose on a botched extra point.)
Guest Smues Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 to the 13 yard line and now barring a fumble or a blocked field goal this game should be over.
