I feel personally it's one of the five best Scorcese films I've seen:

 

1. Mean Streets

2. Taxi Driver

3. GoodFellas

4. Raging Bull

5. The Aviator

 

I haven't seen After Hours or Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore, but I think that this is a better film than Gangs of New York, Bringing Out the Dead, The Age of Innocence, Casino.
